This antique mall is a lot bigger inside than it looks from the street and has a wide variety of items to choose from. You'll find a lot of glassware, pottery, jewelry and small items here, with a bit of furniture on the annexed side of the shop. I collect Florida souvenir items from the 50's - 70's and have found a few good additions to my collection here.
We took our stinky dog to K9 Headquarters regularly when we lived right around the corner and they always did a great job. Our shar pei's coat was so soft and clean and she came home each time dressed in a cute, new bandanna. When we moved to Ypsilanti we tried out 2 groomers in that area and ended up driving back to Livonia because none of the others could match up in service, caring attention and price.
Island Breeze is not just a scooter rental agency, they also sell a few models of scooters, primarily Kymco brand. While there is not a selection of major brand scooters to choose from when making your decision to buy one, this store allows you to rent the scooters they sell. For a reasonable hourly rate competetive to other area rentals you can try out the motorbike to see if you like it enough to buy.
I love this old-fashioned neighborhood hardware store. When I am looking for something specific, such as an odd hook or hinge, they usually have it. And when I'm not sure what I need, the folks who work here always help me to figure out a solution. It is great to be able to pull right up, run in, get personal help and get back to my project without wasting my whole day wandering around a superstore.
If you shop here you will certainly find yourself in a relaxed state of mind. Mellow Mood offers a variety of items for your smoking pleasure. The store is large, well stocked and conveniently located on busy Park Blvd. The sales clerk was helpful and took the time to show me several items I wanted to look at, allowing me time to shop and decide on the perfect gift.
We have used Clearview Tree Trimmers twice and will most definitely call them again for any of our other landscaping needs. The owner and his crew are very hard workers, toiling away in the hot Florida sun without taking a million breaks, like I've encountered with other service providers. We had several large trees removed and you wouldn't even know they were there now, as Clearview did a great job grinding out the stumps and removing all debris.
Buffalo Creek Golf Course is a public course tucked away in rural, yet growing area of Manatee County. The course is wide open with long, challenging holes. Plenty of water on this course, where you might see an alligator sunning himself! Clubhouse is relaxed and friendly, serving the usual lunch staples, nothing fancy. Practice tees and a driving range complete this full service golf club.
One day while driving by I saw some interesting pieces of furniture displayed on the sidewalk in front of this consignment shop and I just had to turn around and go in. I am so glad I did because this shop is a great find. They carry only the best designer quality furniture and home accents and the merchandise is constantly changing. The shop is so jam packed that they've opened an annex across the street. In addition to purchasing two gorgeous end tables at a great price, I've also consigned a rug here. It sold quickly and a check was promptly mailed to my home. A great resource for both buyers and sellers of fine furnishings.
This upscale gift shop features handmade crafts by a variety of artists, many local Floridians. While each item is certainly unique and not the same merchandise found in every gift shop along the beach, I found much of the merchandise a bit too whimsical for my taste. But judging from the crowds of shoppers found here this style must appeal to the well-heeled tourists who frequent the shop looking for a pricy Florida souvenir.
Hula Hula is a really cool and fun place to shop. All of the merchandise, including clothing, barware, knickknacks, furniture and more is Hawaiian themed. There are tons of tiki god items and a wide variety of floral Hawaiian shirts. I love to stop in here on my way to see a movie at the Beach Theatre, it is one of the best shops in the artsy Corey Avenue District. The only drawback is they don't offer very late hours so if I'm going to an evening show I miss the chance to stop in.
