As golf has become more popular, Pro Tee has expanded to keep up with the increasing needs of local golfers without forgetting the kids. Pro Tee has a fine miniature golf course as well as batting cages with speeds appropriate for little leaguers as well as adult players. Everything has been well maintained. A practice putting green has been a nice addition. Clubs are available for use, but of course most golfers bring their own whether to practice putting or driving on the all-weather driving range. The pro shop sells a range of equipment from most of the popular brands. Long hours accomodate everyone in the summer, but Pro Tee is open all year round.
Donna's Barber Styling Shop has been in business in the same location for more than two decades. Donna started out with a traditional barber shop and over the years has expanded to offer a range of salon services. It is not a fancy place and probably not the choice for ladies who like a more pampered salon experience. Men who like something closer to an old fashioned barber experience and others who only need a basic haircut without the frills (and a frilly price tag) will probably be happiest here.
Community Educational credit union offers all the basic services, from loans and CDs to checking and savings accounts, all at the low fees and good interest rates that credit unions are known for. I had a car loan from Community Educational; the entire process was very simple and I had no complaints. I did find, however, that I prefer to deal with a somewhat larger institution. I think this credit union is stable and quite capable of dealing with whatever banking needs I have, but since the staff and customer base is so small, it felt as too many people that I may know could have knowledge of my personal business. Just a personal reaction and not a comment on any specific behavior, but something potential customers might consider.
Hoover Chiropractic Clinic has offered quality care for two generations. Dr. Paul followed his mother into the practice and has continued offer the same quality care that she became known for. Many of their patients families have also been counting on the Hoover clinic for two generations as well. The office hours are flexible, and the staff is very good about making time for patientswho have a bit of an emergency or need an adustment right away. Fees for office visits are reasonable and insurance is accepted. I was very skeptical of chiropractic care, but I trust Dr. Paul.
Several of these reviews seem to be remembering Union Station as it once was, not as it is now. We visited Union Station on the way to a Blues game last night, and it didn't take long to remember why it had been so long since we had stopped there even though we walk across the parking lot every time we go to the hockey game. Many of the storefronts in the mall are empty, and most of the remaining shops sell only slightly tacky souvenirs. A chocolate shop, The Discovery Channel Store, The Cardinals Clubhouse, and store selling products with Anheuser-Busch logos are about the only "quality" retailers left, and all of those but one can be found elsewhere. Most of the high end restaurants are gone, too, and the movie theatre across the extremely expensive parking lot has been closed for years.
The building is beautiful, but Union Station is no longer a prime attraction.
If you are looking for a NASCAR fix and don't want to drive to Darlington then Gateway is the track for you. Much like Darlngton with it's unique banked turns Gateway International Raceway in Madison, IL provides the drivers and St. Louis racing fans with an exciting display of NASCAR racing at it's finest. The track is easily accesible from the highway and with multiple places to park the track is very easy to enter. The only drawback of the track is being able to exit in a timely manner, however over improvement within the last two years that is getting better. The track currently hosts NASCAR Busch and Craftsment Truck sereis races, as well as, the ARCA Remax series which is a proving ground for several of today's top drivers. For Drag Racing enthusiasts the track is also the home of the Craftsman Nationals during the late summer months. All in all Gatway is your local source for NASCAR racing.
PROS: Easy to access
CONS: Exiting, but getting better!
Going to a Gateway Grizzlies baseball game has become a summer tradition for our family. Every Fourth of July for the last three years we have attended a Grizzlies game and will continue to do so. It's definately Baseball at it's purist form. There is something for the whole family. Just outside of the third base line is a playground for the young and young at heart. At different times through out the season they have promotions that are fun for the entire family from run the bases for the kids to reasonable prices on food and drink for the adults. The seats are all close to the action, close enough that you feel like you are part of the game. Go to a Grizzlies Game you will enjoy it!
I love this place!!! The Savvis Center is centerally located in downtown St. Louis, MO. The Savvis is the home of the St. Louis Blues Hockey Club of the National Hockey League, as well as, the St. Louis Steamers of the Major Indoor Soccer League and the home for the Saint Louis University Basketball Billikens. The Savvis is a great place to watch a game or take in a variety of events over the year.
Specialists in Gastroenterology makes an uncomfortable day more comfortable. From the receptionists, nurses aids, anethesiologists, to finally the doctors, everyone makes each patient feel comfortable and secure during what is normally an uncomfortable situation. The facility is nice and new and can easily accomodate the many patients that are seen each day. The office staff and doctors were responsive to all questions and concerns both before and after the procedure. Billing issues were resolved quickly and easily.
Tour 3 is an 18-hole par-3 course that features reproductions of famous par-3 holes from the PGA tour, including Augusta National. The course is lighted, allowing for night-time play. Fees are reasonable, and carts are not required. The course would probably play better during the summer. It is not as well-maintained during the off-season as other courses in the area. It is not well-marked, so it's easy to find yourself driving the cart to the wrong hole.
PROS: nice reproductions of famous holes
CONS: not well-maintained
