I know why this business has a Manhattan Beach address. The doctors in this particular group travel between this office and Beverly Hills office. One doctor in particular, though, who does't come to this office but stays up in Beverly Hills is the greatest one of all OB-GYN and has been mine for 5 years. I prefer to receive service in BH because that office is so much nicer to this one and I get a better service. MUCH better.
This is a Karaoke Box loved by many Japanese locals but they do have tons of English songs. I heard that they got busted for serving alcohol without a license in the past and so no more drinking is allowed while you are singing. They open till really late (like 4am??) so people tend to come out between 12-2 am after a night of bar-hopping. Interesting experience... Light Japanese snacks are available at high cost, of course.
If you are driving on Lincoln Blvd, you cannot miss this place....has a huge sign of Marina Car Wash. I always saw people waiting and thought I'd give this popular car wash a try. Anyhow, the place is rather small, the waiting area is covered and okay, but I used to pay at least $2-3 LESS near LAX and got so much better (and professional) service!!! I thought, because of this near-beach location and prime real estate, I would get a better service - WRONG!!! I tried once, that was enough.
This place specializes in very unique, custom designed lamps of all sorts. They provide sales, rentals, repairs but I can only speak for the really cool Tiki Head Lamp I purchased from here. It almost looks like a buddha's head which emits light from the opening of eyes, cheaks and mouth. It's such a cool addition to my bedroom and I'm loving it! Their collection covers a wide range of motifs so I'm sure you'll find an item you like.
Once I met a girl who had a REALLY cool hair with purple highlights and flippy hair cut. I'm an avid highlighter so I had to ask where she got her hair done. Then I was on my way to Regis. I asked for the same person, got a wonderfully satisfied COOL, HIP hair I have ever had in my life. I'm usually not a risk taker when it comes to my hair but this place had changed my world! Not to mention I now get so many compliements everywhere I go.
I tried this spa just out of curiousty as I had given myself a birthday gift this year. 1st, I tried their herbal linen wrap that was supposed to give me a "detox" effect. I am not sure if that had worked.....didn't feel much difference afterwards. Then I tried their Swedish massage....okay for the price, I guess, as it was cheap....($60 for 60 minutes), definitely had better before for $20 more. Didn't care for the room setting, either; they don't invest much in mood making (i.e., scented candles, serene music, waterfalls, etc.) nor comfy robes/linens at all. The only good thing was reasonable price and never had to wait for my service. Enzymatic Mud Wrap is a waste of money, according to my sister. I will not be recommending to this place to anyone.
I've been going to this nail salon for almost 4 years now. Their high-level of skills match their high service level and you won't believe how fraction of what most others would normally charge everywhere else in LA you have to pay for it! (Simply put, CHEAP!!!) I recommended their pedicure to all my girlfriends who have been hooked for years and I got my boyfriend hooked on their eye brow tweezing!!! Don't worry if you get a different person each time, because they are all equally good! You might not find them very friendly at first but that's because their English is very limited, not because they don't want to talk to you. They do a good job on your nails/eye brows nonetheless so who cares? It's next to M&Ms Soul Food and 7 Eleven in the very tiny shopping center so it's very difficult to snag a parking spot.
Dominguez Hills Golf Course has a pretty high-tech driving range. The golf balls automatically pop up from a motorized tee. Using American Golf Range cards, credits are added electronically into the cards. Once you are at the driving range, there is a box where you insert the card where it detects how much credit, or how many golf balls are left on the card. I chose the 6 dollar one that gave me roughly 75 balls to practice with, which is more than enough for most novice players. Make sure you adjust the tee to go up and down in height before you start hitting. Over all, I recommend it to my father and friends.
Yes, the doctors are all female and well qualified and experienced, I am sure....except for one doctor, which I won't name here (but I wish I could so you know not to make an appointment with her), that I had bad experience with, everyone else is pretty good. What I dislike is their dingy, small waiting area and very uncomfortable waiting area as well as a long wait (with the appointment, of course) and a small office. They have cute pictures of every baby they gave a birth too, though.
I tried the business as a first time customer before Christmas. The employees were very nice, welcoming, answered all my questions regarding heavy stains and were accomodating with my special request. I got them back in 2 days, which was on time, and I was very pleased with the result, except for one stain they were not able to get out from my light colored jacket. They explained to me that they would have ruined the material had they tried harder. I went home satisfied with their professional decision to leave it alone.
