East Coast Furniture Company

Weve bought quite a few pieces of furniture from these good people over the last ~7 years. I always enjoy going in the store as the inventory constantly changes. Take that as a warning though, if you see something you really want, youd better buy it as it might not be there upon returning, say a week later.

These folks also buy most kinds of home furnishings; we have sold or traded with them quite to our satisfaction.

Natural Forest Patio

This store has some very nice furniture, both indoor & out, however, their rather high prices (retail +) keep them from earning much of any more business from me.

In actuality I can buy the same items elsewhere for much better prices. On the other hand, the staff people are cordial & willing to help in your design issues.

If service is worth it to you, check these nice folks out.

Mastercuts

It's too much to expect anything other than impersonal, anonymous clerks with scissors at such a large corporate chain. I have used this supercuts a minimum of 10 times & not once was the experience anything but mediocre.

The haircuts are just average, the wait times are always far too long (even w/ appointments?) and I have never seen the same employee there twice.

So, if thats what you want, then this is the place.

Tuppens Marine

I have stored my Formula express cruiser in their dry-dock for years. They keep my boat safe & dry. But the best part of Palm Beach Boat is that when I want the boat brought down for my use, theyre real fast in getting it out for me & launching it. Theyve never damaged the boat in any way either. Ill keep using them as long as I have a boat that should be dry-docked.

Loggerhead Club & Marina

These guys seem to know everyone in the boating community in south Florida. I needed to get some repairs done on my Formula express cruiser & they knew just who to call. The service tech they recommended was fantastic, he did everything I needed & was very fair in his pricing. Gundlachs location is right on the intercoastal & they have a lift for launching. I do all my do-it-yourself repairs there.

Sign A Rama

After we lost one of our business vans magnetic signs, we had to find a replacement and pronto. Sign A Rama had just opened not far from our office so we decided to give them a try. What we found is a shop that has state-of-the-art computers, XLNT & knowledgeable staff and very fine printing equipment. We were very impressed with the quality of the work they could produce. I ended up purchasing all new signs with far-improved graphics over our old signs. A-1 shop thats a Chamber of Commerce member too.

Oyer MacOviak & Assoc

Its not the most common business to receive a recommendation, but Harvey Oyer Insurance in downtown Boynton Beach is far better than most. For years, they have handled our business insurance needs, have advised us on health insurance, and have even assisted us with our homeowners policies. Everyone on the staff seems to be professional, cordial & helpful far more so than most other insurance agencies Ive ever dealt with.

Manatee Taxi

If youve had one too many at the pub, if your ride is getting fixed, if your significant other wont give you the keys, etc., give this cab company a call. When Ive needed them, theyve always been just a quick call away. The drivers are nice and they really seem to know all those shortcuts around our traffic.

Palm Beach Zoo

Palm Beach Countys own zoo is a very special place for residents & tourists alike. Whether youre 6 or 60, it is a delightful locale with many beautiful and rare creatures. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and always willing to take a moment away from their schedule to answer even the most complex questions pertaining to the animals housed in the zoo. A very peaceful place conveniently located near the highway and downtown West Palm Beach.

Boynton Fisherman's Supply

It is getting harder & harder to find outdoor, fishing, boating or camping supplies anywhere other than the big-box stores. The problem with them is that if they dont stock it, they know nothing about it. In Boynton Fishermans Supply I find all of the specialized items that are exactly what the S. Florida outdoor sports (boating) enthusiast needs. These guys are so old-school too, they love fishing and give me the impression that anytime theyre not in the store, theyre out on their boats. Good place, great people & the right inventory.
