Carnegie Library Of Pittsburgh

The Carnegie LIbrary in Mt. Washington is right on Grandview Ave. It's a great location - you can walk outside the doors and see the entire downtown area below! The library itself has a small selection which is better geared towards children than adults. Although, they do have a limited selection of books for adults. They also have computers that you can reserve time on when you get there.

One thing that they are known for is their great summer reading program that encourages children to read, read, read! They give them stickers and enter the kids into raffles for prizes when they read over the summer.

Haven Heights Methodist Church

We have gone to Haven Heights church since my children were born. All three of my children were baptised here and went to Sunday School here. The Sunday school is excellent and taught by caring parents of other children. They have a small library that has mostly children's books. There is also a nursery for babies and young children who won't sit quietly through church. The ministers have recently changed over the past few years. They also have a choir, youth group, women's group, and men's group. This is a nice church that I highly recommend.

Lady Godiva Lingerie

This lingerie store has a wide selection of everything from under garments to sleep wear to novelties.The prices are a bit high for the quality. For the convenience of a large selection with larger sizes, this is a good store.I find that some other stores with a more limited selection have a much better price, though.

Jewish Community Ctr

This community center has so many activities I believe there is something for everyone.The center has an annual musical that is phenomenal.The teens practice and work together to present a quality finished performance.I have attend a service there and it was a nice experience.Considering I am not jew they let me explore the religion and also helped me a great deal explaining stuff

Animal Friends Incorporated

When I was looking for a kitten I went here to see what they had.What I found was a group of caring people taking care of discarded and unwanted animals.Actually I adopted two kittens! They were from the same litter .Each was spayed and up to date on shots.This place provides a good service to place animals in good homes.

Suntan Shack Inc

bought a package of tanning session here.I love how clean the place is and the tanning beds are really nice. The beds have fans in them and they provide music while you tan.I had to stop tanning while I was on a medication.The owner let me transfer my unused visits to a friend.When I stared back, they gave me a discount on new package!

I have been to this day spa one time and I was very happy with the entire visit.The staff here are all very friendly and welcome you. They treat you like they have known you forever and make you feel very comfortable and relaxed. They have a very wide selection of services that you can receive. I received one of the best massages ever when I came here.
Their rates are reasonable too.

We were going to help a friend move out of state.After checking prices for professional movers, we decided to use this moving company instead.The price was much lower than other companies and it made the decision for hiring rather than doing it ourselves, easier.They packed things up, moved them from one hose to another with no problems

Meli's Barber Shop

Me and some of my friends went there couple of time as we were in the area.This is a really nice barber shop and they have really friendly staff. They do a great job cutting your hair, whether you just want a trim or a whole new style. They are really welcoming even if you have never been here before.
Their prices are really low and you get really great service. The shop is always clean and well taken care of and you know that you are getting your hair cut in a decent place here.

I made an appointment here to get a haircut.The first thing was that I had to pay for parking in the lot.The prices at this salon are a bit higher than other salons, too.The service was good, the haircut was average. I do not go back to this salon as I can get a similar cut for less money
