B C's Pizza

This is the only place I know where you don't have to order extra cheese, it's already on the pizzas!! We've tried every pizza from BC's, the B.C. Super and the Meat Lovers are the best. We've ordered the huge party tray pizzas for our kids birthday parties and for a Christmas party. That's alot of pizza for a really good price!!The subs and salads are so good too, you can tell everything they use is fresh. The employees are friendly and the owner is very nice! The prices are reasonable, and you can get coupons off their website and take a look at their menu, and even read a message from the BC, the owner.. bcpizza.com I know they have delivery but we've never had to use it yet. But we have used the drive thru when we don't feel like getting out of the car to pick up our dinner. That comes in handy when I'm in a hurry, especially if I have all the kids with me or if the weather is bad. I know they've won the new Business of the Month contest in Lincoln Park, and I think they even won it twice. They deserve it. It's a good place to go for pizza and subs.

Czopek Funeral Directors

My family has used this funeral home many times and have been satisfied and impressed with them. They really do try to help you during a difficult time. They "suggest" without pressuring you or taking advantage of you. They explain all the options in your price range and make sure that you are completely satisfied.

Critter Pet Shop

This is not a huge pet shop, but they seem to be pretty well stocked. They have many different animals, and my kids love to go there to see the "displays" of snakes, fish, birds, and turtles. They always have whatever it is I need, with decent prices. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.

PROS: More personal than larger stores
CONS: Gets very busy and you might have to wait for service

Kolas Food Factory & Catering

This is the place to go for carry-out Polish food. The stuffed cabbage is my favorite. They also have a menu for braver souls which includes wild game, muskrat and alligator!! They also carry barbecue and seafood dinners. All reasonably priced.

Soltz's Quality Meats

This store reminds me of the corner butcher shops that were around when I was a kid. The fresh meat, good prices and friendly staff keep me coming back. I like to pop in and grab their yummy fried chicken and a couple side deli salads in the summer when it's too hot to cook!

Fun House

This store has it all! They have as much as a selection as the larger chain stores, but you get a more personalized shopping experience from the friendly, helpful staff. Some things they carry are holiday items, birthday and gag items, and a great selection for summertime "Luau" Parties! I never walk out of the FunHouse empty-handed!!

Downriver Alignment

My husband took his truck here and was so glad he did. It was like new when they were done with it, and for a lower cost than another shop outside of this city. My husband said they did an excellent job on his truck, and that it was something he couldn't fix himself. I was pleased with the price...we didn't have to refinance our house to pay them!! We would definitely use their services again if necessary.

Health One

I was surprised at how quickly I was seen by a doctor. I figured I would spend half a day there because it's a clinic. I was seen by a doctor within 45 minutes, and felt that my needs were met. I spent less than 90 minutes total there, which seemed above average to me, for a clinic. The doctor also had a wonderful bedside manner.

Muffler Man

These men are great. Not only did they fix my car for a fraction of the cost of my a larger garage, but I didn't have to leave my car there for a week. It took less than a day, and my father said they did an excellent job. They are fast, dependable, and honest. I always recommend them to my friends and family.

My mom was so terrified of dentists and we were afraid she needed so much dental work. It turned out that the the dentist put her immediately at ease, made sure that she felt in control and felt no pain, and on top of that, she didn't need as much dental work as we thought. She is no longer afraid of dentists, and has a beautiful smile.
