Glen Ivy Hot Springs is incredible! I love to go there to just "get away" and relax. With the regular admission, you have access to all of the different pools, mineral baths, and the mud baths~which is so much fun! Slather yourself with red clay from head to toe and then let it bake into your skin! You may look like a strange creature, but its a blast. For an extra price, you can go down into the Grotto and put this green clay on your skin, its great. You can also get massages and other spa services for an extra cost. All of it is great! They have a cafe which serves delicious healthy food and a fun gift shop to visit on the way out. I would recommend this place to any one...dont worry about your body, you will see all shapes and sizes there!
If you are a bargain shopper, this store might not impress you much. If you go to Target and purchase their clearance items, you will recognize much of their merchandise at higher prices than Targets clearance prices. They have lots of items that didnt sell on clearance at different stores. Sometimes the prices are okay, other times, they are a bit high. Shopping at grocery stores with coupons usually gets you better deals. But occasionally you can find a couple good buys here. Customer service is so-so.
This fish store has lots of fish to choose from...they have lots of salt water fish as well as fresh water. So many interesting fish to look at...the last time I went, the tanks were crystal clear and the customer service was great. They also sell small animal food (rabbit, turtle, etc) along with fish/aquarium equipment.
This fish store has LOTS of fish. They do have a good selection...the tanks are usually not super clean. I guess its pretty typical for fish stores around here. You can also pick up equipment for your aquarium, fish food and other aquarium related items. Customer service is so-so. They answer your questions and ring you up, thats about it.
This video store is pretty big for an independent store. Its located in a small shopping center and has good parking in front. They have a big selection, but only a few of each movie. I usually find what I am looking for though. Customer service was fine. Its never real crowded, so thats a bonus. Be warned though, if you have small children, they do have an adult section, so watch out for that.
This is a great place to go if you enjoy gardening and having different plants, not the typical Home Depot plants. The prices are a little higher than Home Depot and Lowes, but their plants seem to live longer and flower more. And of course, more selection. They also have a darling gift shop. Customer service in the gardening area is always great and helpful. I havent had as much good luck in the gift area, but its not horrible. All in all though, its a great place to shop.
My husband will take my son to this barber shop only. He also gets his hair cut there. They offer fair prices and good (boys) haircuts (I have never had my hair cut there, so I am not sure about womens cuts). The employees are friendly. They get pretty busy, but they get through everyone relatively quick. They are right on the boulevard, so you might drive right by it. You have to park in the back.
Well, like most thrift stores, you have to go here a lot to find anything worth getting excited about. The help varies...each school in the district gets a week (?) to man the store. I have had good experiences with them and a couple not so good encounters, but what can you expect when they volunteer. There isnt a huge selection, but they try and keep it organized and their prices are good. Thats their saving grace...compared to other thrift stores, they are cheap!
What a sad place to live if you are a puppy. The first thing that struck me when I walked into this store is the horrible stench of dog feces. This is a large pet store and the entire place smelled like this. They have lots of puppies, many in pens that you could reach in and pet the animals. All of the dogs were stepping in their feces. It was so sad. They also have bunnies there...I felt so sorry for them that I decided to buy one, just to get it out of the store. When the worker turned the bunny over, it had some huge THING hanging off of it by its genitals...looked like a giant liver (hard to explain, but it was horrible). The employee just tried to blow it off, saying it was nothing and he would have the dr look at it. Anyway, it was really bad there. I wish they would clean it up, its sad to see animals living like that.
Well, this drs office gets a 3 star from me, only because the nurse is really nice and you see her more than the dr. This office is Dr Dauer and his daughter who is also Dr Dauer. I have only seen the daughter in the office. She seems very disinterested in the kids, only comes in quickly and seems relieved when you dont have questions for her. Whenever I have brought my child in because he is sick (which is rarely), she makes me feel stupid for wasting my time there. But again, you mostly deal with the nurse, who is very nice and friendly with the kids. If it weren't for her, I would have changed drs offices by now.
