Dade Animal Hospital

When I lived in South Florida Dr. Utgard cared for my dogs, fondly called "The Wrecking Crew." Dr. Utgard is a wonderful, conscientious vet who loves all animals. He has a great sense of humor as well, proven when I told him "I told you so." when one of TWC delivered 4 pups instead of the 3 we saw on the x-ray. All of the staff at Dade Animal Hospital are caring people who will go out of their way to help you. If I ever move back to South Florida you can bet I'll return to Dade Animal Hospital.

PROS: Clean runs, caring individuals, excellent vet!
CONS: None that I know of.

Merryfield Kennels

Unless they've changed drastically they like ALL pet shops buy "stock" from millers/brokers. I bought 2 dogs from them in '95. 1 died from birth defect. Her pup has Canine Eplipsey which is in the blood line. Shortly after purchasing the 2nd dog they had an outbreak of Parvo. I would NOT board ANY dog, cat or other animal there!!!

PROS: NONE!
CONS: Sick animals, buy from millers/brokers, rude personnel

Front desk, nurses, therapists, doctors (I hope I didn't forget anyone!); all are truly caring people who listen to what you say, your concerns, your worries.

Originally I was to see Dr. Edward C. Jacobson but was late by a day. When I showed up the day I THOUGHT I was supposed to be there and was informed I was wrong a new appointment was scheduled with Dr. Barry A. Sitkoff for me immediately, and I was once again blessed with a caring doctor who actually listened to what I had to say.

I would recommend Chambers Medical Group to anyone in the blink of an eye.

Plant City Imaging

I'm very surprised that no one has rated Plant City Imaging by now!

Everyone from the front desk to the radiologists are caring, concerned people. I missed my first appointment with Plant City Imaging to have an MRI taken so was rescheduled. Unfortunately, I missed the second appointment as well yet they were concerned, and I ultimately was scheduled a third time; I DID make that appointment.

I do wish I could remember the names of the women who took the MRI. They were genuinely concerned when I told them I was diagnosed with COPD and was claustrophobic even though I knew it was an open MRI. They took great care to tell me if I had to stop the procedure for any reason I should "wiggle my feet" (There were no microphones in the procedure room.) so they could stop and assist me.

I didn't need to interrupt the procedure and, once done, they exhibited great care helping me up and making sure I would be okay.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Plant City Imaging at all.

Watson Clinic Llp

Specifically Diane and Susie. These two ladies have gone "above and beyond" to help me. I had fallen behind in payments to Watson Clinic. Diane and Susie have worked extensively with me to prevent having legal action being taken against me. I truly don't know what I would have done without their assistance.

All Creatures Animal Clinic

I found this clinic quite by accident when one of my Dachshunds went down with what I thought was back trouble. I rushed her to the Emergency Clinic here in Lakeland, and Dr. Timothy Lockhart was the veterinarian on call there. His caring and concern for Mandy was obvious, and I decided right then to change vets. He examined her and sent her home with me with instructions on how to care for her. A week later Mandy went down again, but this time I could tell she was dying and got on the phone to All Creatures answering service. The woman paged Dr. Lockhart, and he immediately contacted one of the vet techs telling them to "pull Mandy's file" not realizing I hadn't changed vets yet.

Dr. Latter is another vet at All Creatures and is just as caring and concerned about the animals who come in as Dr. Lockhart is. Both men are excellent veterinarians who not only tend to their own clientele but help with hurricane efforts for animals as well.

There is another veterinarian who recently started at All Creatures. If Dr. Latter hired her then she must be wonderful.

The staff (receptionists and vet techs) is exceptional and take the time to get to know you and your animals to the extent that they even know your animal's little idiosyncrasies, what they like, what they don't like, what frightens them, etc. and do their best to put them at ease.
