This is a smaller Hilton hotel but still well maintained. It is very near the Del Mar racetracks so it might be a good place to go to if you are tired after the San Diego Fair or the Del Mar races.
This is a large beautifully landscaped and well kept hotel in the hills of Torrey Pines overlooking the ocean. We had a large event where they set up a tent on the grounds and had catered food. It was amazing! The staff were friendly and parking was no problem. I highly reccommend this place.
A new classy place for drinks or dinner in PB. Tower 23 is a sleek modern hotel right on the beach. It has an outdoor patio with a beautful casading waterfall. The views of the ocean are incredible. This place also has a nightclub on the weekends.
This hotel is easily distinguished from the San Diego downtown skyline from its distinctive green hexagon shape of its roof. Gorgeous hotel, great service and AMAZING views. The bed was so lush and comfortable. The view of downtown from our hotel room was amazing! The lobby was impeccable, I liked the metal hexagonal chandielers that hung from the ceiling. The service was great as well, I forgot a few tolietries and they brought them up prompty.
Oh wow, from my room I had a view of the harbor and the boats as well the planes coming in from lindbergh field. It is close to downtown and there are in and out privileges with parking.
However I had upgraded my room to a suite and in the middle of the night someone walked in... they gave him a key to our room! I didnt sleep very well for the rest of the night because i was afraid someone might walk in again. Hopefully this was just a one time thing because otherwise the place was nice.
Every summer we go to the fair at least once. It is an all day event where we gorge on treats like corn on the cob and strawberry shortcake. The rides are fun- go on the big ferris wheel to get a view of the whole fair. One of my favorite things to do is see and pet the baby animals at the petting zoo. Bring lots of money because you will want to buy all sorts of things like and engraved bracelet to a airbrushed tshirt.
I once rode this 18 times with an all day pass. The ride changes depending on the winds at the time. It is so much fun riding on an old fashioned wooden coaster next to the ocean. Check out the little exhibit in the kiosk for some history on it as well
Belmont Park is most fun on summer nights when the balmy breeze comes in from the ocean and you're walking around the broadwalk. It is an carnival like atmosphere and popular with locals and tourists. There's an indoor swimming pool, arcade, shops, bars, carts of food and the famous roller coaster, the Big Dipper.
I was thinking of opening an account here since citibank is one of the largest banks in the US would be easier to find a atm when I travel. However, the staff made me wait forever to talk to a representative- one was just talking on his phone the whole time- and she seemed kinda rude and pushy. I ended up opening a checking account elsewhere.
Washington Mutual is great for people who don't want to keep a minimum balance or have direct deposit in their checking accounts. Their terminals are kinda weird, kiosklike desks out in the open versus the traditonal behind the counter style. This is a good for those low balance checking accounts.
