Encinal Nursery
I always shop at Encinal Nursery every growing season for annuals and any perennials that I may want to add to my garden. They have a wonderful selection of plants that are healthy at competitive prices. They also have a good selection of houseplants available. The staff is friendly and eager to help you out or answer questions about the plants they carry.
Article Pract
Article Pract is conveniently located right off the freeway and has a pretty good selection of yarns. I only shopped here a couple of times before. They also sell a nice selection of needles, patterns, books, accessories and handmade items. They also have classes for beginners and advanced knitters.
Stone Mountain
Stone Mountain is a fabric store that sells a wonderful selection of beautiful fabrics like cotton, rayon, silk, velvets and even fake furs. Their selection is so much better that places like Joanns and their prices are comparatively less expensive. They also have classes for those who want to learn how to sew or want to learn different techniques.
Knitting Basket
Knitting has been my latest hobby that Ive picked up from a couple of my friends. They have also taken me to the Knitting Basket for their large selection of yarn in every color and textures. I didnt know there was such a big selection. The staff is friendly and they can help you select which yarn would be appropriate depending on what kind of project you are attempting to do.
San Francisco Shopping Centre
I like shopping at the San Francisco Shopping Centre which is located right on the corner of Fifth Street and Powell, right across the street from the cable car turnaround. They have lots of stores available to shop at on several floors. The basement level has a food court area where you can get some good sandwiches and desserts.
Pier 39
Pier 39 is one of the many tourist destinations in San Francisco. Its filled with many different shops as well as an aquarium and a carousel. There are also the sea lions that bask in the sunlight as they sit on wooden platforms just a few feet away from the side of the pier.
Gelateria Naia
Gelateria Naia is just a block away from UC Berkeley and you cant help seeing a lot of the UC students flocking to buy some of these tasty gelato treats. With many flavors and toppings to choose from and being lower in fat than regular ice cream, its a favorite for me whenever I get I chance to be in the area.
Sweet Potatoes
I certainly agree that the clothes that Sweet Potatoes sells are cute most of the time but sometimes I have found some that are not to my liking. Also I think their prices are extraordinarily high. I find their clothes also tend to shrink too much when you wash them so I tend to buy a couple of size larger to compensate.
Dore Studio
I loved the pictures I received from Dore Studios from my wedding. The pictures were beautiful and I had a large selection to choose from. The photographer was also a sweetheart and even stayed a little bit longer than the time he was supposed to without even charging us extra. I would definitely recommend them for wedding pictures.
Honda Of Oakland
I would never go back again to the Honda of Oakland. The salesman that assisted my husband and I was very rude. He kept pressuring has to buy a car that we wanted but in the wrong color. When we finally said we were going to leave he just gave has a nasty smirk and left. I would not recommend the place at all.
