I remember going to the Japanese Tea Garden a few years ago. The weather was a little foggy at the time and when we went in the garden had areas that was covered with mist which made it look so mystical and beautiful. It is located just across from where the old California Academy of Sciences used to be located. Parking is available right by that area.
I used to go to the San Francisco zoo as a kid on school field trips. There are a lot of animals to see there and I had a great time. We would ride on our school bus which they parked right in front of the entrance on Sloat. I still like to go back once in a while and it hasnt changed too much. They have a nice shop right by the entrance too where you can get some really nice souvenirs.
I took a few classes at the San Francisco City College a couple of years ago and Im satisfied with my ability to enroll in classes that I wanted. The instructors are professionals and knowledgeable. Each of the buildings are easy to get to on foot. Also, the school is conveniently accessible via the BART or MUNI.
I love modern art but San Francisco Museum of Modern Art left me a little dry in the mouth. They charge a whole lot of money for very little substance. I hoped they would have more works of art from local artists but was disappointment the last time I went.
I had a terrible water leak in my kitchen pipes and was desperate since I had a dinner party I had already planned later that evening. I called around and luckily found Friendly Plumber who send someone within the hour. I was so relieved when the guy was able to quickly fix what was wrong. I got a pretty reasonable bill too. I would definitely use them again if the need arises.
I wanted to have my belly button pierced and heard that Moms Boby Shop was a clean and safe place to have it done. I made and appointment but really didnt have to because they take walk-in as well. Before I knew it, I got my belly button was pierced and I didnt even feel any pain. I was so happy at the outcome and their prices are very reasonable.
I had to go out of town for a few days and unfortunately I didnt have anyone to watch my dog for me at such short notice. I went to Reigning Dogs & Cats and left my dog in their care with some misgivings. They seemed a little disorganized to me and that sort of worried me the whole time I was away. My dog was okay when I got back but I didnt bring him back there again.
The Stonestown Galleria is a nice shopping mall that I sometimes go to. The underground MUNI stops right in front of the mall so its really convenient to get to especially since parking sometimes is hard to come by when the mall is busy. The mall has a Chevys and Olive Garden right in front if youre not interested in the food in the food court.
When I walked into La Kasbah I was immediately excited to see all their beautiful and unique Moroccan furniture. They sell quality and stylish items made of wood and iron. They also sell other items besides furniture like beautiful lamps, lanterns, candle holders, handbags, scarves. I just love this store and often come back to see what new items I will find.
The Japan Center is great to go shopping if you are looking for Japanese merchandise or Japanese food. They have a lot of stores available that sell clothing, origami paper, books, and much more. There are several Japanese restaurants and sushi bars here too. Its a great way to immerse yourself in the Japanese culture without stepping into an airplane.
