Their staff is their biggest asset. Everyone I've spoken to there is friendly and knowledgable. They are also honest in letting you know what to expect and how much work any plant will be. If you like the way something looks but don't have the right growing conditions for it, they will steer you toward something more practical instead of just selling you anything. I really appreciate this kind of honesty in selling since it keeps me from wasting money on something that won't grow where I want it to.
Schnatters Lawn Care is wonderful. They sell a variety of gardening supplies: organic compost (not made from sewer sludge), fertilizer, organically grown seeds, and some potted plants, vegetables and herbs. They tend to have a rather sporadic supply of vegetables and herbs, so it is best to call in advance if there is something specific you want.
Good planning. Excellent selection & service. Good maintenance. Nice people. They take the time to answer all of your questions and show you many ideas and choices. They have plenty of references. It's a busy company because they are good at what they do. Still, it doesn't take long to get an appointment.
This is a great place to go to get stuff for your outdoor garden. They have beautiful pieces of pottery and statues. There are great fireplaces to choice from. Wonderful birdbaths and even sundials. Everything is reasonably priced and great quality. The fountains are very unique, the kind of things you won't find in just any store. They have delivery available and even help setting up.
If you have a nice home and want to spend the extra money on a very well done landscaping job, try this place first! Creative Environments offers an extremely custom design for your back and front yards and pool areas. The cost is a bit high, but it is worth it for a unique, amazing looking landscaping job. These people really take their time and come up with amazing designs and ideas that are unique to YOU and fit the look you are trying to achieve. The staff is extremely pleasant as well.
We found this vet a few years ago when our beloved dog had her first run in with cancer. She had a tumor and it was completely removed by the vet that was there at the time. She was cancer free for nearly two years. Buggy unfortunately developed a completely different form of cancer this year that could not be treated effectively. She died in late January 2005. Nice caring people.
I took my kitty here once because he was having seizures that were starting to get really severe. I'm always afraid that the people who work at animal hospitals might lose patience with my cat because he's so squirmy and loud whenever we take him anywhere, but the nurse was so nice and gentle with him! The doctor was so nice too and gave us lots of advice and how to keep my kitty healthy! =)
The facility was also very nice, although more like a pediatric office than a "hospital" per se. There were several children's books on animals and even a few display shelves with pet care products. The overall environment was very welcoming.
The only thing is that unlike humans, animals don't really get health insurance so we were stuck paying this huge bill for a simple check up.
This is a team of three veterinarians who adore animals. You can see pictures of theirs in the lobby of the office and we're not just talking a couple of dogs. They've handled dogs and cats for me and did a great job with their care in all instances from simple shots to teeth pulling to surgery. I believe they are a little high for their services but not higher than the average for the area. People here are fanatical about their animals and the vets offer services that sometimes range on the extreme to cater to these people.
When our dog Sally got to sick, we decided we had to put her down. She was 18 years old and was in pain. My husband took her HERE and they were wonderful. They were very caring for the littlest member of our family. About a week after we had to put her down, I recieved a card in the mail from the Vet. Inside the card the staff had put Sally's paw print. If was this kind act that made me realize what a wonderful place this is. We recently got a new puppy and we take him there now too.
We took our hound dog there after a fight, where she had her ear ripped. They took her immediately and stitched her up. I expressed concerns about being able to pay for it and they were very understanding. They worked with me as much as they could. My dog was happy with them. And so was I. Nice people. No waiting.
