Our 18 year old daughter recently had to do her first car repair while on her own. After calling around to repair shops within the area, RevTech had the best prices and were the easiest to work with. They took time to explain things to her and even worked with her on her payment arrangements. The repairs went great and the car was done earlier than expected.
PROS: Great price and service
I have been going to Stylin to have my hair cut and colored for years. Lisa Vuittonet (owner) does an incredible job listening to her customers and customizing a hair style that will work well with their face shape, hair texture and lifestyle. I highly recommend Stylin.
PROS: Lisa can duplicate any cut from a photo or magazine
CONS: Sometimes a litlle hard to get in
While the selection is better someday than others the quality seems to be pretty good on most items however, the prices seem a little steep for used merchandise. These definately aren't garage sale prices. Think more discount store prices. If you shop often and wait for an item to get marked down you may get lucky.
While the seats are not the best, (heard they are remodeling though) the Overland Park Cinemas has a great deal on movies that have been out a liitle while (not new releases, but not yet on DVD). They also have a food combo deal where you can get admittance into a movie, popcorn, soda and or candy for just $3.50. Not a bad deal for a night on the town. The theater is small, (5 or 6 screens is all) but the food and movie selection is pretty darn good for the price.
As beginning kayakers, we knew very little about what we needed when we walked into their store. The staff was very helpful and took a great deal of time making sure we had all that we needed. Their prices were very reasonable and they didn't try to sell us the most expensive equipment, they sold us the equipment that was right for us. We took a long time and stayed after hours and they were happy to stay and help us and never tried to hurry our decision.
We have been very pleased with the teachers, staff and academic programs offered at River Valley Elementary. My son requires some special services and the staff has always been willing to work with us to find solutions and have been concerned and caring. We are also impressed with the family involvement opportunities available at the school from parent/teacher nights to family ski days to family Fun Fairs, they have a lot of opportunities to become part of a school community.
I have had my last 3 children with the doctors at the Womans Clinic and 2 of the three pregnancies and deliveries were high risk. I had full faith in the ability of my doctor and my faith was not misplaced. When things were difficult my doctor was calm and soothing all the while acting very quickly to save both my babies lives. Calls with questions or to refill prescriptions are always returned in a timely manner however appointments in the office often tend to run late.
Harvest House is a wonderful store with a variety of items pertaining to canning, home storage and emergency preparedness. The owner and staff are very knowledgable and helpful in answering any questions you may have. They have helped me with canning shortcuts as well as suggested guidelines for personal disaster preparedness. I attended a food dehydrating and preserving class taught by the owner that was excellent and very informative.
I don't particularly like going to the dentist, so I really appreciate when a dentist does anything to make my stay more pleasant. Dr. Cooks office has a wide range of DVDs for patients to watch on a screen that pulls down right in front of their chair. He even has headphones to help drown out the sounds of drilling and filling. The staff is great and they always try hard to schedule our families appointments all on the same day to save a trip. Dr. Cook has a very relaxing demeanor that sets patients at ease.
We have been seen at St. Lukes Family Health for years and we are very pleased with the quality of care we have received there. We are always able to get in at the last minute if someone becomes sick. Our son needed stitches less than an inch apart less than 4 weeks apart. One set of stitches was done after hour at urgent care the other done in the office at St. Lukes Family Health. The scar is much more noticable from the stitches done at urgent care than the ones done in the office and my son seemed to be much more calm and in less pain in our doctors office. They are a bunch of great doctors.
