My family came to this car dealership a few years ago to purchase a car. Since it was close to the year end we were able to get a car at a really good price. They offered us either the rebate or 0% financing. We took the 0% financing option. Our car still runs well and we hardly took it in for repairs because it is in such good condition. Our salesperson really helped us find that car that we wanted. He was very friendly and patient with us and worked out a deal to meet our financial needs. Great dealership!
When we came here to look at cars, the car salesperson approached us as soon as he saw us looking at cars on the lot. He asked us what kind of car we were looking for and showed us several cars that were available. He was very patient with us but couldn't give us prices of the cars. I'm not sure why he couldn't quote us prices but he said that he would call us later. He gave us his card and he did indeed call us the next day to talk about the cars available and their price. We didn't end up buying a car at Island Chevrolet but I have to say that the salesperson was very good and he did follow up with a call the next day.
I went car shopping with my sister in Hilo. Our first stop was at Kamaaina Motors because we wanted to see the Nissan SUVs and cars. After we looked at several cars in the parking lot we decided to leave because no one came over and approached us. Next we went to Orchid Isle Ford and someone came to meet us as soon as we walked on the lot. My sister ended up buying a car from Orchid Isle Ford that was a very good deal. I wouldn't buy a car from Kamaaina Motors.
The Manoa Marketplace offers a wide variety of specialty shops, restaurants, island foods, a supermarket and a drugstore. One of my favorite places to eat is at the Manoa Barbeque. They have very delicous bentos and you can order different types of bentos to suit your taste. My favorite bento is their teriyaki meat bento and their chicken katsu bento which is my second favorite. Their bento prices are reasonable and their food is "ono." There is lots of parking at the Manoa Marketplace since mostly Manoa residents shop here.
This is the largest Hilo Hattie store outlet located on Nimitz Highway. They sell all sorts of men, women and children's apparel in stylish designs with fabric printed with tropical scenery and tropical flowers that are unique and beautiful. They even sell matching sets for the entire family. This store is divided into different sections that include apparel, souvenirs, jewelry, and the Kamehameha School uniform shop. It is very large and you are bound to find something to take back home. There is ample parking outside.
This swimwear shop has been around for over 25 years. They sell very colorful bathinsuits with beautiful designs. The always have new lines of swimwear that are unique and stylish and can't be found at other department stores. They carry a full line of adult sizes as well as children's sizes ranging from toddler's (age 2) up to pre-teens and teens (age 16). They also sell tops and bikini bottoms to mix and match. Their swimwear are pricey but they are well made. There is lots of parking out in front of this store at the Koko Marina Shopping Center.
We shop at the Hawaii Kai Shopping Center for groceries and household items. We mainly shop for groceries at Safeway which has been here for many years. This safeway has an excellent produce department and they have a great deli that sells sushi, bentos, and take out food. We often buy the roast chicken and garlic bread from the deli section. We also often shop at Longs Drugs which carries everything from school supplies to liquor. They often have great sales on household items like toothpaste and canned goods. There is usually parking here and they have a few restaurants and eateries located at the opposite end overlooking the waterway.
This is where we go shopping when we visit relatives that live in Hawaii Kai. We usually shop at Costco and Ross Dress For Less when we come to the Hawaii Kai Towne Center. The Costco here has very good service and the cashiers are friendly and quick. This Costco sells really good pet food and pet snacks such as pig ears. We also like to shop at Ross Dress For Less to look for bargains on women's clothing. This store is very clean and the clothes are nicely arranged. The layout of the store is good and it is easy to find clothes at this Ross store. We never had a problem finding parking. Sometimes we stop at Burger King for lunch. You can see the beautiful waterway and Koko Head from this nice shopping center.
I took several courses here before I entered UH Manoa. You can take courses here and transfer them to a number of colleges if you plan to transfer to a larger campus. The campus here is located near Diamond Head and it is quite beautiful. There used to be a large park where the campus now rests. You can see views of Kahala and Diamond head from this campus that sits on a hill. There is parking here and this campus is surrounded by a lot of trees. The teachers are really nice and knowledgeable in their field.
