Beth Mims is a professional attorney who is also honest and caring. She will advise you only on what is fair, but then will do whatever needs to be done to help you get that. She gave me good advise in many areas of my case, and then got me a fair, but very good settlement.
Vca Lakewood Animal Clinic
The staff here is friendly and professional. However, it always seems expensive. I guess I keep going because there is not a long wait and my animals seem comfortable with the staff. However, I would recommend going to a cheaper place, like a pet store shot clinic, for routine things like vaccinations. That could save you a lot of money.
Boutique Pet Shop & Aquarium
This very nice pet store has a large selection of fish, both salt-water and freshwater. They also have a open pond with a selection of koi. It is also a good place to get birds as many of their parrots have been hand-raised. They also have a good supply of large-sized aquariums that would be great for a salt-water set up.
A & B Animal Clinic
This is the place to go if you find an injured or baby bird or any other wildlife (which often happens around the White Rock Lake area). I have twice dropped off baby birds (a barn owl and a mockingbird) and their staff knows just what to do. They will take care of the animal until the rehab person comes by for the daily pickup to take the animal to a rehab center.
Crites Frances B Md
I have been going to Dr. Crites for years. Both she and her staff are very nice, and also very professional. This is a good choice for those of you who would prefer a female doctor. The waiting room is decorated with female patients in mind with comfortable sofa and chairs and antiques.
Mc Dowell Pam - Family Dentistry
I have been going to Dr. Seidler for around twenty years. He and his staff are very friendly and competent. He never forgets to ask about my mom, who is also a patient there. His staff has also worked with me in the past on a payment plan for expensive procedures.
Nirus Boutique
Great South Asian clothing, jewelry, etc. Nira, the owner of this boutique, is extremely friendly. I am only able to visit her shop every several months or so, yet she always remembers me and asks about my life. Ask to be put on her e-mail list so that you can get notification of sales and special discounts.
India Palace Restaurant & Bar
They have a buffet for a quick lunch or a full menu for dinner. Nice place for a date, lunch with a friend, or a party with your friends. Nice atmosphere and great food.
Cotton Patch Cafe
This is my dad's favorite place to take me when I come to town. It works for the whole family. There's meatloaf for dad, and a veggie plate for his vegetarian daughter.
Dream Cafe
You might have to wait a while if you come during the rush hour (after church on Sundays, especially), but it's well worth the wait. I would recommend trying the oatmeal. Ask them to bring you a little cream to pour over it.
