When you have stinging insects or rodents, the other pest control companies recommend Holpers. THey were able to locate a yellow jacket nest in our attic in the middle of the summer and take care of it instantly. They are also great for getting rid of snakes, moles, squirrels and BATS. Don't mess with this stuff yourself, call Holpers. Their rates are very reasonable and they are fast in responding to your needs. Terrific customer service too.
If you hate bugs, call Apple. They are extremely thorough and conscientious. Whatever product they use, it works! We've used Apple for several needs. They sprayed our home for preventative measures. The best thing is that when we had a yellow jacket problem, they said they could try to take care of it but instead they suggested we call another company (Holpers) to handle that problem. I really appreciated that they were honest about their limitations. That's terrific customer service. They know bugs!! And they kill them!! You can't ask for more in a pest control company!
Haefner's has been known in Oakville for years but their newer garden center at Telegraph and Heinz is amazing. The selection is wonderful in both spring and fall. They have great deals for frequent buyers too. The fall pumpkins are nice and they offer great tours for school groups too at very reasonable prices. For the Garden is worth the trip when it is time for spring planting!
We have lots of trash companies picking up garbage in our subdivision but we use IESI because they are consistent, reliable and neat. On windy days we need to dodge trash cans and lids throughout the neighborhood but IESI sets the cans back on end in your driveway and they rarely roll away.
Their customer service is very good. If you have a question or concern they respond very quickly and leave you feeling satisfied.
This store has some gorgeous fireplaces and woodburning stoves on display but we used them to service our existing insert in our home. They were able to repair the door and save us thousands of dollars (the repairs totaled about $20!) I highly recommend this store to help you with your existing fireplace and insert and I'll certainly use them if and when we need to replace ours!
We used Mad Hatter to clean our air ducts and do a chimney inspection. They offered a free chimney sweep with air duct cleaning. They did an adequate job at cleaning the air ducts (they did fail to do 2 air ducts in the basement that were pointed out to them in the pre-cleaning walk through). But as far as the chimney sweeping went, they did very little. They cleaned out the fire box but didn't check the damper, the flue or anything else. Their recommendation was that we remove the insert and have a new one installed (they'd be happy to do it for $3,000) We had a second inspection done and were given the all clear to use our fireplace. No problems at all this winter.
Saneco is sort of hard to get to (sandwiched between a firehouse and strip mall) but their prices are great and their service is unbeatable. They are not as fast as other bigger cleaners, but they do a wonderful job on cleaning your clothes and bedding. I took a comforter there (King sized) and with the coupon, it was cleaned for $14 in a week! Be sure to check the backs of supermarket receipts or visit their website for savings.
Even with their regularly printed coupons, American Cleaners is on the high end for what you get. Their location is convenient, large and bright and the coupons give you the perception of a good deal but you are better off trying one of the other dry cleaners located on Telegraph. They do have great shirt service at fair prices so if that' s your big need, they are easy to get to!
This gorgeous reception site has a terrific catering menu at very reasonable prices. They work with you to make sure you are getting the food and service you desire for the price you have budgeted. Don't be afraid to ask about kids meals - they worked with us on a more appropriate plate for children.
The dance floor is large and the room accommodates a large party at very reasonable prices.
This is an amazingly beautiful site for a wedding or event. The price is high but it's a once in a lifetime opportunity for a fairytale wedding reception. The flowers are obviously gorgeous and the photo opportunites are nearly endless. If it's in your budget, this is a dream-like venue for your big day.
It's also a wonderful place to visit with families. Kids really seem to love the Japanese Gardens!
