Sacred Heart Catholic Church

Pomona, CA Catholic Church 01/17/06: 'Been a lot of places, this is home!'

Sacred Heart is a mostly hispanic church in one of the poorer sections of Pomona. There is nothing poor about this wonderful place. I sing at the English masses, and, being non-hispanic, could be made to feel like an outsider. Nothing could be farther from the truth. From the first time I walked in, I was met with an overwhelming sense of spirituality. I was welcomed with open and loving arms, and made an immediate family. I love this church and this assembly. They are kind, loving, spiritual, and devoted to their church. If you are non-Hispanic, don't be put off! This place loves all, no matter their race or language. This place has become my church home, and I am much the better person for it.
