Rancho High School
This highschool is a brand new school now as they torn down the old building. I am a 1994 graduate from Rancho, my parents, cousins and siblings went graduated from Rancho too. Over the decades the school aged and the surrounding neighborhood gave Rancho a bad reputation. The school was old and "thug" like when I went in my day, but the teachers and staff back then were remarkable to this day...although most aren't there teaching anymore.
The new Rancho is a magnet school, and the building is very impressive....its nothing like the old one that's for sure!
Regal Cinemas
Forget about seeing a movie in this theatre, it seems that everytime we went the movie starts to malfunction. They don't have much of a snack bar either. On the weekends it's filled with older kids outside and on the parking lot, sometimes your lucky to see a movie there without obnoxious teens.
the meadows mall
This mall has been around since the 80's and has always been my favorite mall. The mall had gone through a couple renovations over the decades and is very nice. This mall seems to be the only mall that has a kiddie area for kids to play in a safe area while you relax from shopping, and it's the only mall that has a nursing room.
The only thing that I would complain about is the bathrooms by the McDonalds seem always dirty with bad odor.
PROS: none
CONS: none
Tao Restaurant
Excellent seafood menu filled with different appetizers and entree's. Very nice service, while you wait for your food waiters pass out complimentary's from the chef to eat. They have a really cute oyster bar there too. It's a trendy place and can get pricy. It's just a nice place decorated Feng Shui style too. This is one of my favorite restaurants that I love eating too.
PROS: Service is great
CONS: Pricey
Grandma Dottis Babysitting Agency
We use this babysitting service and it is great. Most are elderly healthy lady's in this service. We try to get the same lady to watch our daughter; I recommend a lady named Mrs. B. She's sweet, trustworthy, and takes good care of our daughter when we need her.
Gymboree Play & Music Ctr
Gymboree is a cute place, but just too structured for infants under 12 months. It is pricey. They have levels 1 through 7 to sign up for based on your childs age, and different classes like music, art, baby signs, ect. They offer 1 free class before you sign up too. We signed up our daughter when she was 12 months. My daughter at the time was a minority of all the other babies that were walking at the time so I think it was a waste of money, so she couldnt do some of the physical walking activities the other kids could do at the time. Other then that, she enjoyed playing with the other infants, on the mats, balls and singing time in the class.
Steve N Kids
Cute place to have children parties, safe indoor place to have small playgroups at as well. Other than its an older place, its great for the little ones to run around and play. They have a bouncy house, two mini indoor playgrounds, a sandbox play area, a huge wood slide playground, a dress up pretend play area, lots of toddler toys, some walkers and infant toys. My little one never gets bored with this place, and its only $6 dollars (for me) to get in.
