The Pastor is down to earth, the dress is casual and the Teachings are great. I don't feel judged by others when I attend and most everyone is there to learn the Word and Fellowship with other Believers. You'll feel welcome, even though kids under 7 are encouraged to be in Sunday School Class (where they can be taught on their level). There is also an area where you can sit and watch on closed circuit tv, if your child is (or you are) having a hard time with separation anxiety. When I request prayer, I know that someone will be holding that request up to the Lord. A Blessing.
One of my 'kids' attends this college and in comparison to my other child's experience at College of Notre Dame, Towson is a HUGE disappointment. Don't tell me it's because Towson is so large and handles a great amount of students. They should allow for that. The 'advisors' are poor, if you can even get an appointment with one. The Financial Aid department was little help to us, and other families I've spoken with. A recent review in a Towson journal web site revealed how horribly the students are regarded. Jrs and Srs are being prohibited from living on campus and the horrendous parking situation has been ignored for years. I've had nothing but frustrating experiences with most of the departments of this college. I was also on the Parent's Committee but realized that it didn't serve the students very well so I quit. The one thing you can depend on here is that your child will most likely be encouraged to drink (it happens a lot, in fact there is a group on facebook devoted to towson drinkers) Other colleges might have their problems as well but not as much as this place. I am very sorry to have encouraged my child to enroll here. It is almost impossible to transfer as well.
Have been here numerous times and only once was I disappointed (in the server, not the food). This is WAY better than Olive Garden. Even the one time when we had to wait to be seated (which wasn't a very long wait, and had plenty of room in the lobby to do so), it still seemed pleasant. The salad is the best (with House Dressing) and the rolls are heavenly. I am picky about how my food is handled and the one time, the waiter kept whistling while bringing food to the table. That is the only complaint that I had.
I can't figure out why this place is crowded. We always have to find a parking spot, sometimes waiting for someone to leave. No reservations allowed, greeted with a number to wait to be called. No room to wait in the lobby. The food isn't that great, we've been there several times too. When they refill the glasses, you don't get a clean glass and I wonder sometimes if the spigot is clean when they refill because everybody gets their drink refilled at the same place, ewwwwww
The food here is great. Have been here plenty of times for carry-out and eat in. A problem arises lately when we've been seated. The first time it was chilly, my child ended up getting sick from getting a chill. The next time we went they tried to seat us at the same table and I asked if we could sit somewhere else and explained what had happened the other time. when we sat down, there was a chilly breeze on that table and we all had to put our coats on and I wore my winter hat as well. The waitress didn't even say anything or ask why we had our coats on (duh). We didn't want to complain again about the cold. Now we just go to Bertucci's.
Where to start. We ordered subs over the phone for carry-out, and got there in time to wait and noticed that the food handlers were not wearing gloves. I asked why not and was told that they 'ran out'. The next time we ordered, the food was delivered and the food which was supposed to be cold was warm and the food that was supposed to be hot was cold. An argument ensued and we had to drive up to the establishment to speak to the manager. Get with it guys. We tell everyone we know not to get food there.
Excellent food, great service, pretty clean. Gave 5 stars because of the food. I didn't think I would like bread pudding but theirs is so good. My family and I usually get the breakfast food no matter what time of day. We live in Perry Hall but sometimes travel down that way to eat there. We've been to different Double Ts, and BelLoc (which is great as well) but the Honey Bee is the Best Diner.
Usually get drive through and sat inside a couple of times. pretty clean, and the food is usually hot and tastes great. The fries are 100 times better than wendys (although wendys fries are the absolute worst in the nation). The workers here are pretty cool as well.
We ordered carry-out and waited and waited, almost half an hour and almost left. We only ordered crab dip and crackers and I ended up getting sick from it. I have nothing else to say about that but would not recommend this place.
My family and I love getting carry-out. The food is consistantly good and the California Roll is wonderful. Not sure how clean it is (ie, people handling my food properly) I'm kind of picky about that but so far it seems to be clean.
