"Fudge" was an adequate photographer with expertise taking pictures at the location for our wedding pics. We chose him online and I think that's where my frustration lies. Our pics were ok, but not spectacular and I wished that there had been more communication about what kind of "look" we were going for. We actually had better pictures taken candidly by members of our wedding party. So the lesson here - talk to you photographer! I think that if he had opened up more dialogue with us we would have had a better experience.
A moderately expensive studio - with beautiful results. They are very willing to work with you, making sure that they listen to exactly what you want and making it happen. They can always come up with a great and flattering picture! Their studio is comfortable, parking isn't a problem, and it is easy to get an appointment - you'll be glad you went! They offer very nice senior portrait packages as well.
I received a gift certificate to the spa at Woodmark and so I can't comment on the price much - I know it wasn't cheap but it wasn't outrageous either. I was made to feel very comfortable and pampered during my massage and facial. It was SOOO relaxing. The staff was attentive and made me feel welcome even though I didn't know what to do in a "real spa". There was free valet parking (I had never done that before!) which I liked and the area is beautiful as well - right off the water.
This is very spendy - don't doubt that you will spend a bunch for a meal here, but I think it's worth it. They have such a great variety on their menu and I feel their chefs are very talented - the presentation is beautiful. The lodge has a beautiful charm - very upscale "log cabin" that you may have seen in many of the scenes in "Twin Peaks". Spa services are also available. I have never seen it very busy and there is plenty of parking. It's nice for a special treat!
This is a smallish store in a strip mall that is THE place for music for those in the know. They have new and USED music for good prices and the staff is awesome. They make everyone - young and old - feel welcome. And they know what they are about. They have shirts, stickers and other things music-related as well. Great local store!
This is a close-knit congregation that really works to welcome and fellowship people. They have terrific youth programs and fun gospel-centered groups and classes that meet often to supplement the Sunday services. If you want to be ACTIVE in your church they will find a place for you! We especially enjoyed the yearly Christmas bazaars, Christmas Eve candlelight service and the Lenten suppers. There are traditional and contemporary services each week and you will find a caring community here.
I know people that went here 10 and 20 years ago (including members of my family) and all have nothing but great things to say about this program. It has been known for all this time as one of the best preschool programs in the area and many MANY people who aren't members of the congregation fight to get on waiting lists here. They offer lots fun crafts, songs and academics as well. The teachers are kind and reach out to connect with each student personally. A great school!
This is where my family has gone for years to be seen for eye care. It is a smallish practice and the feel is so personal! I feel that everyone there would bend over backwards to make me feel comfortable and get me what I need. They are great to work with all the way from making the appointment (working with your schedule and even making arrangements after hours if need be) through the exam. They are great after the fact too - sending reminders and making sure your experience was all you expected. I highly recommend!
I first went to this clinic when I was a teenager getting my first pair of glasses. I was recommended here by an aunt who has gone here for years. I have nothing but terrific praise for the doctor I was able to see. She was conscientious and kind and very thorough. She was a wealth of information and gave me lots of information about what was happening and how to care for my eyes and my condition. The staff however was not as concerned, it seemed, about me. They didn't seem as helpful as I would have like when I selected eyeware.
There is a huge selection of books here in every genre. The part I like best about this store is the knowledgeable staff. They will direct you to what you need, order things in for you and suggest things you might enjoy. There are also rooms in back that they allow groups to use, which is nice. I know that many high schoolers and college kids hang out and do their role playing here - it's a nice addition and a way to encourage that community feel.
