Triad Community Middle School
Triad High School is one of the best high schools in the local area; they are incredibly competitive both academically and athletically those those communities surrounding Troy. Over 50% of the graduating class is college-bound, and the curriculum and extracurricular activities here are very geared toward college preparation. The facility is awesome; the school is less than ten years old and has the latest technological tools for your student to work with. Can't wait for my kids to attend here!
British Grocery Shop
I always enjoy a trip to Lebanon, and the British Grocery Shop is always a stop I make! Unique items for your kitchen abound here....whether it is actual cookware or the materials with which to cook, you won't be disappointed with the variety available here. I have bought some beautiful display pieces for my kitchen and tried a LOT of foods I wouldn't have if I did not know of this store. Lebanon has much to offer, but don't miss the Grocery Shop!
BJ's Printables
BJ's printables has a fantastic reputation in the local area for great service and quick printing of whatever you need. I have worked with them on several incredibly large orders (1000+ t-shirts) and they go out of their way to ensure we as a customer are happy. Printing here is fast and high quality....though obviously the quality is somewhat influenced by your budget. If you need personalized goods, definitely talk to BJ's.
ScholarShop
I like the Scholar Shop, though I don't visit that often....it's just interesting to see what you might 'find.' Some days I've found great designer items at a fraction of the cost...other days, I've been disappointed in the small number of items that interested me. I have not visited since having a child, so I'm not sure how the children's section is...but the women's items were always nice. Customer service here is somewhat lacking....but the major savings on their goods makes up for it!
Syms
Syms is a funny looking place....you would really have no idea what it was if you weren't familiar with it! However, inside there are top-quality labels at a fraction of the usual cost. I am always cautious, assuming there must be a flaw somewhere....but I have yet to actually find one. The changing area is a real negative in my opinion - there is no privacy, and on busy days, people really can see into your room as you change. I have no idea why any store would put a fitting room together like this. Other than this - great itmes!
Shaely Bugs Carriage House
I like to shop at Shaely Bugs for that one awesome dress that is just a killer on my little girl...sometimes I find it here, sometimes it is at another boutique stores. There are beautiful items here, and rarely will you see another child with the same outfit on. Clothes here are high quality, which is great if you have kids of the same gender....if not, their clothes are only going to be worn such a short time anyway, I think that matters very little.
Oza, Yagnesh V, Md - Center For Comprehensive Care
Dr. Oza is a very important man in my family, as he has assisted greatly in helping my grandmother fight cancer in the last twenty years. Located in a small town, I had a hard time trusting in his care, but have learned firsthand how deeply he cares for his patients. He is active in clinical trials constantly and always advocating for his patients to have the best technology and research can offer. If you are battling this cruel disease, see Dr. Oza....he will help you fight it to the best it can be done.
Saint Francis Medical Center
Having had a not so positive experience with the other local hospital, St. Francis has never disappointed me and thus I recommend it highly. Their obstetrics care is top-notch, including a private room, rooming-in with the baby, and overall treatment of the mom as a queen! They also provide quick, efficient emergency care, which is so appreciated. All staff, from the doctors to the facilities staff, are incredibly friendly and seem intent upon making you feel at home at St. Francis.
Southeast Hospital
Fortunately I have not had to visit this hospital myself for any medical reason, but have accompanied friends here for severe illness and a broken ankle. One friend was treated quite well - this was just this past summer when we were all a little 'older' - but my other friend was forced to wait in pain for several hours. Granted, at this time we were college students and possibly not a top priority....but this has forever tainted my view of Southeast. Friends still feel strongly it is a great hospital, so that is why I list it as satisfactory.
Hamilton Memorial Hospital
Hamilton Memorial is a small town hospital that fits the bill fine for what is needed in McLeansboro. They offer quality emergency care and can handle all the 'basics.' However, if you are having any type of serious trouble, you can expect to be sent to Mt. Vernon, Evansville, or St. Louis for more advanced care. Hamilton does not even handle childbirth any longer; this alone conveys that their services are somewhat limited. Nice doctors and nurses, but the technology is just not present to provide in-depth care.
