I've used these guys for little things like changing a tire rim or balancing tires. They are always friendly and helpful.
Their prices are fair. They are located right off of 140 and they have a decent size parking lot available.
Plaster Fun Time is a cute little shop where kids (adults too) can make and paint plaster items and bring them home.
They have monthly special items that correspond to seasons or holiday and an Internet gallery where you can post photos of your work.
My roommate is part of Big Brothers and we often bring his little brother. He has a great time there.
We had braces done for two kids at Scott Lite's office. The staff was always very friendly and the walls have fun decoration in the waiting room and the treatment areas.
Plenty of parking is available and there is a large waiting room. All appointments were kept on time and they followed up when necessary. I can definitely reccomend Dr. Lite.
Isabella's is located in downtown Dedham. Parking can be a pain on the street, but there is a municipal lot nearby.
The food is great and the prices are reasonable. They have a number of vegetarian options. Unfortunately, the got rid of my favorite signature dish (Hong Kong Noodles)
Their dessert menu changes frequently and they have a great coffee/tea list.
I highly recommend their salads at lunch time. Last time I was there, I got the sorbet trio for dessert. It was delicious.
This Meineke is a great shop. I've been there quite a few times waiting for a repair. They do much more than brakes.
The gentleman that runs the store is very honest. I've heard him on the phone with other customers and with their suppliers.
One time I sent my sister there after she received a high repair quote from someone else. Meineke took care of it for half the price.
Parking is easy and they have a nice waiting area.
They are located right off Rte 106.
I've used Shaw's on one or two occasions for repairs when I was stuck as far as finding someone to do a repair quickly.
Shaw's can usually fit people in, but the do charge a bit more as far as pricing.
They also sell Mobil gas and do inspections.
There isn't much of a waiting area, so hanging around isn't the most comfortable thing to do. Luckily there are some restaurants and stores within walking distance.
Dots is a fun place. You never know what new clothes you will find. The often run sales and the prices are very reasonable. If you see something you like, buy it...it may not be there when you go back.
They have a few fitting rooms and it is a relatively small store. Though they do offer a great range of sizes.
There is plenty of parking, they are located right off of Rte 1.
Bath and Body at the Walpole Mall is a very nice store. The staff are all friendly and helpful.
The offer everything from lip balms to moisturizers to soap and bubble baths.
There is plenty of parking at the mall and store is rarely busy.
The often run sales or have clearance items available at great prices.
The Foxboro Y opened a few years ago. The facility is very clean and the staff is very friendly.
I often would go to the use the gym or attend an aerobics class.
There is tons of parking and they offer child care during certain hours.
My biggest complaint was the hours. Though 9:30pm is relatively late for a week night, I'd love to see them open until 10 or 11. Sometimes I could not leave the office in time and other gyms in the area are open later. On the weekends they close early at 6pm. Ultimately this caused me to cancel my membership.
The Odd Pet specializes in pets other than cats or dogs. Though people do bring in their "regular" pets.
When I lived in Dedham, I often brought my parrot by for beak and nail trimmings.
Everyone was friendly and Greg had a pretty good amount of experience with birds.
If you have a bird or another "odd" pet, this is your guy.
They are located right on Bridge st (Rte 109) in Dedham and have plenty of parking available.
