Towne Cleaners
Towne cleaners always offers quality dry cleaning services in a timely fashion. I can drop items off on a Monday and expect to pick up within 48 hours. They do an especially good job of starching men's shirts. The prices are a bit higher than other cleaners, but I pay extra because of the timeliness and the ease of location to my home.
Lake Susan Lodge & Marina
People from my office often frequent Lake Susan Lodge for happy hour after work on Friday. One of my co-workers even met her husband there! It is quaint and rustic and has a decent selection of drinks. You have to at least try the fried gator bites while you are there! This is definitely a party place on the weekend.
Dan's Family Restaurant
My family and I often go to Dan's after church on Sunday for a late breakfast. There usually is a 10-15 minute wait on Sundays for breakfast. The menu is varied and always consistent. The staff is attentive and very down home. I have a hard time keeping my kids away from the vending machines in the front, but other than that, always a good experience at reasonable prices.
Parramore House Cafe
When I do not feel like cooking, Parramore house is a great place for take out! The soups and salads are great. The dining area is small if you eat in, but the staff is friendly and you always get your money's worth. The cafe is nestled at the top of the Parramore house and is not very easy to find.
Rusty Fox
The Rusty Fox is not necessarily my favorite place for ambience, however, the Prime Rib is to die for. My family and I go often and have never ordered a bad prime rib. Rusty Fox is close to home and always offers a great meal.
Salvatores Gourmet Cafe And Market
Salvatores is a welcome change from your typical cafe. It is quiet, the inside of the building is beautiful (it is a renovated church), and the food is delicious. They offer a decent wine selection and have interesting items in their market. My husband and I usually go when we have a sitter as I have found the tile floors and high ceilings make it difficult to keep children's voices down as not to disturb other diners.
Betty J's Florist
I have used Betty J's several times for different types of arrangements. On several occasions, I used them for funerals and was always pleased with the quality of the arrangements. I also ordered a peace lily from them on one occasion and thought it was a great plant for the price. Finally, I have ordered a get well arrangement for a friend from them which was sufficient, but not necessarily awe inspiring or creative. Overall, they do fine work.
A Flower Bucket Florist
A friend recently used A Flower Bucket Florist for her wedding floral needs and I thought her flowers were some of the most beautiful I had ever seen at a wedding. They were fresh and fragrant, and the mixture of flowers was very appealing to the eye. I would definitely reccomend them for your wedding floral needs.
Crawford Tire Svc
My family and I have been using Crawford for all our tire and brake needs for over 15 years. We have never had a complaint, the car issue is resolved quickly, and the price is always very fair. The proof of the integrity of this business is they are always busy!
