Crystal Gardens
my cousins wedding was here on saturday. the place is very nice. it has a chapel on site and 3 reception rooms- one with a patio. there is an upstairs bridal suite, which is somewhat small. the chapel is newer and on the smaller side, but it is set up nicely. the decorations arent the best, but you bring your own stuff and make it work. the reception rooms are beautiful. they are huge and include a dance floor area and a bar which is a separate room. the staff here is wonderful, from the minister, to the bartenders and waiters. the food is great too. they did a great job decorating the reception room for the wedding. the cost is decent too. i would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great place to have a reception at a smaller cost.
Hollywood Tan
i have had no problems with this place. it is very nice inside and always very clean. the girls who work there are nice. there are only 12 machines- all standups except for one and one spray tan machine. i have never had to wait more than 5 minutes to tan. they dont sell a lot of products, so you might have to look elsewhere for lotions, goggles etc. it is beneficial to become a member here- you sign a 3 month contract and pay $20 a month for unlimited tanning. you get discounts on upgrades and other services. you can tan if you arent a member, but it will cost more. i think i will keep using them after my contract is up.
Liz's Cleaners & Tailor
I took my daughters flower girl dress here to be altered and cleaned one month before my cousins wedding on recommendation of my sister who had a dress altered here. Liz is very friendly and professional. she explained how she would alter the dress and everything she would need to do. the dress basically had to be taken apart and sewn back together. it was clear that a lot of work had to be put into the dress because it was so beaded. i felt that it was a little expensive to have the dress altered and cleaned- it cost more than the dress itself, but Liz did a wonderful job. the dress could not have fit better and everyone was very happy with the fit- including my very hard to please 6 year old daughter! i would use Liz again because she has earned my trust, even with my most important clothing items!
Life Spa
All of the Life Time Fitness centers that I have been to are nice. I used to go to this one until the Commerce one opened. This one seems a little cramped in comparison with smaller rooms, smaller cafe, pool areas and even hallways. I actually really dislike the pool areas. The inside pool area is smaller with poor lighting. The outdoor pool area is very small. It just isnt as open and airy and light as it could be. The people there are nice though, and I have never had any problems there.
Glow Golf
My daughter always wants to play in here. It is cheap for one game, like $3. It is really plain inside, there are some dumb paintings on the walls that glow under the black lights that are on. The entire course is really easy- my 6 year old has no problem doing it. She likes that the ball glows. I wouldnt play in there, but its great for the little kids. The staff is usually on the phone or doing something non-work related.
All Star Lanes
I had never been in this alley, but my daughters friend had her bday party here and the place is great! It is very big and open and clean. The kids had a blast at the party. They have a lot of lanes, a lot of seating and they also have video games and pool tables. I was very pleasantly surprised and would def. go back.
Things Remembered
I found the items to be overpriced, especially if you want it engraved. They do allow you to bring items that you didnt buy there to be engraved, if you want to pay a fortune. I also found that thier staff seems very uninterested in making the customer happy or even seem important. I will never shop here again.
Disney Store
I always go in this store when in the mall. My daughter loves it! They dont have tons of stuff, but some toys and mostly clothes and accessories. They can be expensive, but they have great sales. The people are nice, but kind of hover over you waiting for a sale. I like the store though, its nice and fun for everyone!
Party Usa
I dont find thier selection to be all that great. They have many themed things for childrens parties, but thats about it. I just bought some bridal shower garland there that was on a rack marked 50 cents. It rang up for 1.99 each. When I told the girl, she said "oh theyre on the wrong rack because I know that these are not on sale". after the purchase I went back to double check the price and the item I bought was on the wrong rack where the sale item- one similar to what I bought- was supposed to be. I was a little annoyed by that because they girl didnt apologize at all.
Yankee Candle Company
I love this store. They have so many different items to choose from. I always have a hard time picking, but my favorite is Green Grass! I got a jar a few years ago and I still have it and it still smells great. They have so manu unique scents. You dont even have to light the candles- if you just open them, youll get the scent. The prices are decent and the people are great!
