We enrolled our two preschoolers in classes there and were pleased with the quality of instruction and small class size. The whole place is very clean, and the staff is friendly. Our kids were both happy going there and we saw improvement in their swimming. We switched to the Y because we realized it would be very expensive to keep the two of them enrolled year-round.
We started going here after we got sick of our regular local kid-friendly place. It was a nice change of pace. There are several booths, and the cornbread is yummy. I like the tuna sandwich, and my husband usually orders some type of meat dish that I never cook!
This store has the basic materials you'd need for a typical craft project. It's fun to browse the aisles and see what's on sale. The prices are very good, but the cashiers have left bad impressions.
Even for a "non-artist" like me, this offers a really fun shopping experience. It's hard to leave without buying something. I shopped here with a friend who paints, and she was really happy with their acrylic and watercolor paint selection.
Our kids affectionately call this the "Purple Museum." They love seeing the giant duck on top of the building as we get near. We have a membership, and have to go as a family, because our two kids go running off in different directions the minute we enter the place! Wonderful, stimulating exbihits, and a really big space! It can get quite crowded on weekends and rainy days, though. The membership is well worth the price, especially since members can enter 1 hour early on Sundays.
This place was a nice surprise. I went here with the children's preschool class. I liked the fact that there were indoor and outdoor spaces, and a nice variety of animals and exhibits. It is small, and holds their attention for about an hour.
I like this toy store a lot. It's small, but it's right next door to a bagel shop so my kids and I tend to make an outing of it. Everything in the store seems to be of good quality. They offer free gift wrapping and personalization of certain items. They seem to be quite focused on customer service. They offer a frequent shopper card.
This is your typical microbrewery. The food's OK, but there are so many great restaurants in this area it's hard to come back to this one. I can see how it would be good for an after work get-together with co-workers. Casual atmosphere and plenty of seating. Close to main shopping & dining street in Mountain View--Castro St.
We took my in-laws here for a dinner with my family. It's a good place to go if you want a fun, casual atmosphere. The portions are large, but the food isn't outstanding. Our waiter was quite entertaining and offered good service.
This place offers a range of flavors--all incredibly tempting! Gelato beats ice cream hand down in my opinion. We often get one or two flavors to split with our kids after a dinner at a Castro St. restaurant. Very little seating inside, but that is usually not an issue since most people eat theirs outside or take it to go.
