Recently my daughter's Guinea pig became injured. We called this hospital because it is close to our home. They basically laughed at the idea of having someone look at our pet. They rudely told us we would have to find someone who deals with exotics. When we asked if they knew of someone, we were told there were numbers listed in the phone book. I found this person answering the phones to be cold and harsh. Were we the only ones that have ever called wanting to have a guinea pig looked at? I understand if they are not knowledgeable in that area, but there is such a thing as compassion. If I was in that situation I would make sure I could refer that potential customer to someone who deals with those kind of animals.I actually did find someone at a place called New Horizons in St. Clairsville and they couldn't have been any more helpful or courteous.
This is a nice clean mini golf course. It has some difficult holes and a tunnel that is also a waterfall. It also has batting cages outside and a few tables where you can sit with a snack. Theu sell drinks inside and have acouple of arcade games. The inside is small and it is pretty expensive to play. It is close to our home and would be nice if it was a little more affordable., or if they would offer passes. It would also be nice if they offered batting cage birthday parties. They only offer golf parties.
My daughter took dance here and although she likedi t, I was dissatisfied with the place. It all started off good, but month after month it kept getting worse. The place was nice and clean when dance started in the fall. But, they did not clean often enough and the place got dingy really quick. They had a mice problen too. My son caught a baby mouse and took it outside. Another time a dead mouse was found in one of the rooms. There was a lack of communication with the business owners and parents, too. It just wasn't a very professinal place. Many people were unhappy with the way things were run and many quit. My daughter stopped going after she injured herself. She started off with about nine in her class and at the end I believe there were only four left. The price wasn't bad, but extras and the shop in the buliding was very expensive.
This dentist is great. She is primarily my husband's dentist, but her hygenist worked on my son's teeth before. She is good and thorough. Her staff is nice and professional. She also has evening hours for those who cannot take off work. She is good with adults and children. She is located in a convenient easily accessible place.
I have always trusted this place with my flower needs. I have always been pleased with their level of service. They are very helpful when you ask for assistance and advice. I have always been satisfied with their deliveries and their arrangements. Their prices are reasonable and the staff in courteous.
This is a nice place to go if you are interested in trains and older toys. My kids really enjoed spending a couple of hours looking around. They have alot of interesting things in this place. They also give guided tours if you wish. But, you need to call for reservations if you have a large group and want a tour. Fun place to spend a rainy afternoon.
I agree somewhat with the other review on this place. I have been going here for years. Sometimes the wait is minimal, others it takes hours. What I do like is the staff. I usually see a nurse practitioner that is really thorough and has great bedside manners. The medical assistants and the xray techs are good, too. But, I did spend a long time in there trying to get my daughters fingers xrayed because there were emergencies with bleeding people while we were ther. They take precedence over other problems. Another time my daughter hurt her haed and needed either stitches or staples and when we walked in they couldn't take us because the person on duty had a hand injury and couldn't sew up a wound. She wasn't still bleeding, but they offered to call an ambulance, but we ended up taking her to the ER and she received a staple.
This is a nice place for cappuccino and goodies. Small in space, but nice atmosphere. They make alot of their own cakes and such. I think they can make up goody baskets, too. They have a couch and a couple of tables, too. They offer homemade lunches along with Biscotti and other desserts. The only complaint is parking. It is not easily accessible. They share about four spaces with a couple other establishments. They have parking on the street but you might have to walk somewhat of a distance.
Love the wings. They are by far the best around. This place is set in an old Inn. It is quite small, but homey. There specialty is their wings. They will cook them perfectly for you. We always get ours "extra well done". This way they are nice and crispy but still very flavorful. The atmosphere is really different in a haunting sort of way. I think you can stay in the upstairs part of the establishment by making reservations. It is rumoured to have ghosts. It takes us nearly an hour to drive there, but well worth it. It is almost necessary to make reservations because it is a small place. However, in the summer they have an outside area open. The beer is also VERY cold, which is important with wings. They have a downstair bar area in the basement with tables , too. I always get weirded out at an old pic they have in the woman's bathroom. Check it out if you go, you'll know what I mean..the eyes follow..And, the prices, way too cheap. They could charge more definitely. Way cheap!! Oh yeah, they also have other things on the menu that are really good. On Sundays, they also have a buffett. The desserts are homemade and quite good. Check hours though, they are only open certain days and their hours vary.
This is a family owned toy and hobby store that has been in the downtown area for 50 plus years. They have the most hard to find and unique toys. The place consists of three floors. They sell Thomas the Tank Engine items and sets along with your collectible trains. They sell specialty dolls including Madame Alexander. You can even find older hard to find items. On the second floor they have everything you could ever want if you were a kid. They just recently cleaned up the place after years of being a bit cluttered and messy. It looks really great now. The basement floor I believe has little tikes and bike and furniture things. I have never been down there. If you are in need of a unique toy you can call and the staff, which consists of the owners and others, they are very knowledgeable of their inventory. At Christmas this year they had a huge display window that consisted of toys from the past to current toys. The prices here are a bit higher then what you would normally see in a toys r us or Wal-mart, but sometimes it is worth paying a little more. They are a small hometown store and have limited stock so I understand the higher price thing.
