Messages can be humorously appealing; pastor incorporates a lot of his own personal feelings. It definitely is a blended black and white church with adoption encouraged; and I think is made available. My husband and I never felt connected or understood where the messages were actually taking us in our lives. We eventually left and were led to more of the expository outlined depth of Bible teaching which became more of a building block method of remembrance and recall for our lives as well as output in sharing and personal growth.
The pastor is a very good Bible teacher and very evangelistic and caring. Everyone seems to recognize and welcome visitors in a non-threatening way but in making you feel so very special. The style of service and lively hymns reminds me of a church camp friendly manor, yet the people seem to dress and sing in a reverential manor. It reminded me of that good "old time religion".
You will not find the more modern contemporary Christian music; at least each time I attended hymnals were only used, but the people sang from their hearts; you could sense this.
It feels like your small country church with good preaching.
The people are quite friendly and seem to very interested in all newcomers in a kindly sense. There are several locals
and I got the impression they come to each others needs.
They seem to do the best with how they are gifted without all the flashy talent; simple but meaningful.
The pastor, Richard Dahlstrom, is an incredible Bible teacher with a history of being a vibrant and extremely knowledgeable sought after conference speaker. Plan on bringing a notebook with you as you will get so very much from his Godly inspired messages, you'll never forget, but tapes are also available to order as well. His teaching can be very deep and extremely challenging and life changing. The pastor is quite an outdoorsman in the area of hiking and there are many university age students that attend. The pastor and his staff are totally devoted to the congregation and their community, and are a fast growing church that is expanding. The music is very unique because they incorporate both choir and contemporary Christian music of excellent quality from the heart and children choirs. There are two services in the morning and two in the evening, including a coffee house video service, and a unique outreach through the week to the deaf. Individuals are encouraged to use their gifts in many ways and are invited to be a part of community outreach. This church gives the feeling of closeness and concerted purpose.
An added orchestra at some of their services is extra special.
There are many families and young people involved in the life of this church. There will always be usually several who will shake your hand and welcome new comers.
This church seems to have it all with two morning services. There are many programs for all family ages and a tremendous outreach in the community. It is a praying and personable church that is welling to help carry your burdens.
There is Expository Bible preaching with easy and challenged understanding and an honest evangelistic message as well. The staff is very unique and gifted. It is a church that is very mission oriented including with its youth. Even though there are many home fellowship groups as well I find there usually has to be a concerted effort on the part of regulars to be friendlier outside of close friendships. Most closer relationships are met in smaller groups throughout the week.
