Joe's Stone Crab

This is by far our favorite restaurant in Chicago! The service, food and atmosphere here is top notch! It's a pricey meal, but SO worth it.

The bone-in filet, king crab claws, lobster bisque, and peanut butter pie are all amazing! They have great fish, steak, chicken--literally everything! The bread basket is great too!

Howie is the best server...so attentive and fun!

Japonais

This is my favorite sushi place in the city!! It's actually the first place I went where I tried sushi and liked it--and now I'm hooked! The downstairs lounge is great to go just to have drinks/appetizers--cool music and atmosphere.

The upstairs for dinner is great--good service and even better sushi! We've seen Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan on two separate occassions...so if you're into celebrity spotting, this is the place!

J Gordon Designs Ltd

I have been going to J. Gordon to get my haircut for about 3 years and love it! I've also gotten highlights which have been great--especially since I'm pretty conservative when it comes to highlighting my hair.

I always go to Mellisa--she's the best! I've referred literally 10 of my friends to her and they love her too! The prices are pretty good for a downtown haircut--about $40 or so (not including tip). And they use Aveda products, which I love!

West Town Taven

We met friends on Tuesday for the burgers here and they were amazing!! Probably the best burger/bun and sweet potato chips I've ever had! They only have them on Tuesdays though...so make sure to go then!

The atmosphere is really cozy and warm...although, our waiter was not very attentive. We waited over 20 minutes for him to come back to see if we wanted to dessert and by then we just wanted the check! We tried to convey this by saying "excuse me" loudly literally three times when he passed and he never turned around...service wasn't the best, but food was GREAT!

Spa & Fitness Centre At Four Seasons Hotel Chicago

My husband and I went to the Four Seasons Spa before our wedding and got a couples massage and facials. From the moment you walk in, you are treated like royalty! The sitting area was great with good water and fruit, the massage was wonderful (we had aromatherapy) and I LOVED my facial! With my facial I also got champagne and caviar--while I don't like caviar, it was an experience to try and really was a nice touch. While the prices are high, it's worth a visit for a special occasion!
