Whalers Village
Whalers Village is a nice open air mall, similar in ways to the shops at Wailea, but not quite as upscale. It has most of your typical hawaiian stores, a PAC SUN, surfer shops, and other stores, like a coffee place, and also it has some restaurants, like the Rusty Harpoon which is right on the water. It is all open air, and lends itself to a beautifully relaxing shopping excursion. It is in a nice location as well!
The Shops At Wailea
The shops at Wailea consists of many upscale places, but they also have a couple normal priced places. They also have a Lampert's Ice Cream, Cheeseburger in Paradise, and Ruth Chris'. Its an open-air small mall in a sense, but at night, its just a beautiful spot to wander around. I loved the breeze passing through as I walked the different levels.
Strike Zone Sportfishing
The Ocean Activities Center was a great help in booking all of our adventures on the island. They offer many discounts with places, whether you want to snorkel, parasail, snuba, have a helicopter trip, etc...I would definitely reccommend using them as they are reputable, and not a shady place.
Hyatt Regency-Maui Resort/spa
This hotel is fabulous. It has every amenity possible. My favorite part were the hot tub and the pools, with waterfalls flowing into them, and swim-up bars, and caves. It is a great romantic spot. I also went to a Luau here, and the food was delicious, I would reccomend it to anyone coming to visit Maui. The grounds are lush and well groomed, with bridges and ponds, fish, birds, swans, and a beautiful ocean front location.
University Of Notre Dame
There truley is a magic in the sound of Notre Dame, and I would reccommend this school to any kid who is very bright, wants to know what school pride, the Notre Dame family, is religious, and wants to feel a sense of awe from their school. The campus is the most beautiful in the world, and the academics rank it as one of the top in the nation.
Citrus Park Town Ctr
Citrus Park is very unique in the way it is designed, with each store having such a different front. It has a movie theatre in it, which is nice, but its pricier than AMC usually. It has a nice food court, and most stores. It is indoor, but you get an outdoor feel from it. The parking can get bad at times.
Potomac Mills Mall
As outlets go, Potomac Mills is great. I would reccommend not going on weekends though because it is soo busy. It has a theatre in it too, which is great, it has a huge food court, and it has just about every store you can think of. I would rate this as the number one outlet in the area.
Madlax Sports
If you need Lax stuff, Madlax has it all. They will string your sticks if you need. If you need team apparel, they offer a selection of basically anything you want, especially if you love underarmour. I go back to them for most sports apparel in fact.
Palma Ceia Golf & Country Club
This place is amazing. I have been to weddings, etc... here and they are all done with a World Class touch. This place offers a member's only golf course, and has a pool, tennis courts, and many other amenities. It is located in beautiful South Tampa, and has an aire of class that no other clubs carry in the area.
Virginia Zoo
This zoo could have more animals, but its tradeoff is it has a tremendous amount of space. It has beautifully kept grounds, and you can walk for hours here. Hopefully, over time, they will acquire more animals, because they have the space.
