If you are in the area of Sequoia National Park or just want to get away for the weekend try out Sequoia River Dance Bed and Breakfast. Although it does not look like much on the outside, the inside is quaint and charming, the rooms great and the river is right outside the back door. The owners of the inn are great and really cook up a meal in the morning that will knock your socks off. I highly recommend giving them a try. White water rafting is just around the corner as well.
The Chestnut Inn is a quaint inn that sits on the shores of Oquaga Lake. The rooms are really nice, the inn marvelous and the lake fantastic. There is a dock to fish from and anytime you want, you can take a row boat or paddle boat out onto the lake free of charge. The walk around the lake is about 3 miles and fun to do. The inn's food is excellent.
The sonoran desert is quite a sight but when you see the landscape studded with majestic saguaro cacti it even becomes more incredible and quite beautiful. Not only is the plant life that sucks you in but also the wildlife you see living in and amonst the cacti. Make sure to stop here if in Tucson.
If you are interested in the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright this is a must stop when in Phoenix, Arizona. The buildings are original Frank Lloyd Wright with one of the most amazing rooms/building being the auditorium. The stage is built like a drum and provides all the acoustics and sound for the entire room which is quite large.
Styrbing has some of the most unusual speciman plants and wonderful plant displays. I just love going up there just to sit and take it all in. It is a great day trip up to the city - very relaxing while learning alot about the plants.
This is a great little Zoo. They have updated some of the displays to make the animals more comfortable, but the selection of wild life is not the ordinary zoo. It is much like being on the plains of Africa. Definitely worth a stop.
The Phoenix Zoo is very manageable in terms of size, but they sure have put a number of really great displays into the area. Everything is really well done. Make sure to make it a stop when in Phoenix.
When I found myself in need of making a large charitable contribution that consisted of major furniture and clothing I had a very hard time finding any organization that would pick up in a reasonable time frame. U-Care came out within 1 hour and took everything away - they were great.
During an emergency situation where I had to catch a plane out of Phoenix, Arizona, I called these guys up, they were able to get to my Dad's house within 20 minutes and had the electric garage door working within 5 minutes after arriving. It was great - the guy was really friendly and knew his garage doors.
I found myself in need of an emergency service call to install a new garage door at my dad's house in Phoenix, Arizona. I called Authentic Garage at around 4 pm on a Saturday, they were able to get out to the house that night and replace the garage door first thing on Sunday. It was outstanding and the cost was very reasonable.
