Heyer Performance

Mountain View, CA Auto Repair 05/12/06: 'Tony's the Man!'

Tony's a porsche wizard. He's got all the tools and all the techniques to get the job done. Pricing is fair and the estimates are accurate. I wouldn't let anyone else touch my car. I think he's even pitted for some world class racing teams.

Sent Sovi Restaurant

Saratoga, CA French Restaurants 05/12/06: 'Wanna get ripped off??'

Wow, I've never felt so ripped off in my life. I guess I'm the wrong type to eat here. People, (small and not hungry) will probably love Sent Sovi restaurant for those ... oh so dainty ... appetizers and their ... oh so pretty ... presentation. Personally, I could care less. As a matter of fact, after paying the check, which is and will always be the most expensive check for two I've ever paid, I thanked the hostess and drove to Jack in the Box down the street to break my still lingering fast. Save your money, go somewhere else.

Pfeifer House

After a day on the slopes (or not) we like to go to the Pfeifer house for some good european cookin'. The meals are fairly priced and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. It has the feeling of an alpine inn, too bad they don't have rooms to let. Great staff, better food!

Chambers Landing Restaurant

Tahoe City, CA Restaurants 05/12/06: 'Lunch on the lake!'

If you're lucky enough to boat around on the lake, make sure you stop by Chambers Landing for a hot dog and a Chambers Punch. There's just something too cool about docking up, jumping out and eating. Sit around and enjoy the view, then get back out there on your water skis. It's just something you should do, highly recommend!

Sol Y Lago

Tahoe City, CA Mexican Restaurants 05/12/06: 'Nice place on the lake'

... well not really **on** the lake, it looks over the Tahoe City Marina which isn't too shabby. Try to get there early for a nice dinner overlooking the lake. Very nice prices for such a great view. Typical mex fair, well priced. Highly recommended.

Rosie's Cafe Downtown Tahoe

If you don't have to hit the slopes right as they open, stop by Rosies. This place has been here for decades. It's survived economic downturns and a fire!! Their eggs benedict is awesome. They have good home fries. Their bar is open in the morning for all those skiiers needing a bloody mary. A year round destination demands a year round restaurant, this is it.

Fandango Pizza

Palo Alto, CA Pizza Restaurants 05/12/06: 'Good Soccer Party Venue'

We had our year end soccer party here. The guys were really accomodating. They allowed us to plug in a DVD player to their enormo-tron so the kids could watch all the pictures the parents took over the season. Oh yeah, the pizza's good too!

J T Mc Hart's Pizza Restaurant

Hey, this is my only 5-star rating. I really like the way these guys build their pizzas. I always get a small pepperoni while the rest of the family goes for the combo. For my pepperoni, the thing these guys do that no other guys do is lightly singe the outer ring of pepperoni ... that's way cool!!! It adds just a bit of bitter dryness, kinda like eating jerky, but then there's all that cheese and their awesome sauce to sweeten the bite. I've been going there for years. I discovered them while living in Cupertino. Now that I live in Los Altos Hills, I still make the trip at least once a month ... it's that good!

Passage To India

This is the restaurant I compare all other indian restaurants. Simply the best buffet, lunch or dinner. I like the fact that they keep their spicy food spicy. They could probably attract many others by mellowing the food, but I hope they don't. I highly recommend this restaurant!!

American Italian Delicatessen

Los Altos, CA Delis - Los Altos, CA Caterers 05/12/06: 'The godfather beckons ...'

This is the **only** place to get a godfather, a sandwich so filled with meats and cheeses, even artichoke hearts. It's the best. Just get the default, don't change anything. You won't be hungry until dinner.
