Tokyo Teriyaki specializes in two things, Teriyaki Beef and Chicken. This small shop started out a couple of years ago, and word of mouth has now made it one of the busiest restaurants during lunch time. The teriyaki sauce on their chicken is sweet, and their service is excellent. If you are in the area then don?t pass this place up! It will be the best teriyaki chicken you?ve ever had!
PROS: Great food
I've had breakfast, lunch, and dinner at this cafe, and they were all wonderful. I recommend brunch. They serve late breakfast. Also, their house salad dressing is nothing like I've ever tasted, and you can't buy it in stores. In low-fat sweet and sour french dressing. And the muffins are sinfully good. =D
PROS: Great food
Every year this company visits Scarborough Fair, and they are one of the reasons I attend. Their candles last for an extremely long time. The 16 oz candle burns for 125 hours. They also take custom orders. They also make the tall candles with designs cut into them, and when the light glows from the candle, the entire pillar lights up. It really is amazing.
PROS: Beautiful candles, great burn time
My husband and I purchased our wedding rings at Marc Samuels jewelers. Marc, the owner of the store, is an extremely laid back guy. He is dedicated to making sure that your purchase is made with class, no matter how much you make. He offers his customers beer and wine, and it makes the buying process that much more enjoyable. The sales reps there do not work off commission, and they all make sure you are served well. We told them the kind of ring we wanted, and our price ceiling, and they did not try to sell anything to us over that amount, which I really respected. Marc has created a unique buying experience and I will remember it always.
This place is a vet hospital as well as a clinic. It's located in the same shopping center as Kroger. This is one of the third vets that I?ve tried in the Carrollton area, and I don?t think I will take my dogs anywhere else. There is one doctor that works in this location, and she is nice. We also order a special dog food (IVD) through this location, and I?ve been able to get it cheaper here than I have anywhere else in the DFW area (or even online).
PROS: Personable, location
CONS: Only one doctor
Chef Hsu is on Harry Hines in between Royal Ln and Walnut Hill. The selection of restaurants in this area is limited, and this is one of the better ones. They have the standard Chinese food buffet, and the buffet food is average. I recommend the Sesame Chicken. It?s one of their better entrees. The servers are kind, and attentive and there are a few servers there who speak Spanish.
PROS: cheap lunch buffet
I would advise not going to this hospital. My grandmother was hospitalized here due to emphysema. She was having trouble breathing, and my mother tried calling the nurse. When no one came she left the room to go get one. When she finally found one, she was told that the nurse couldn?t help her because she was on her break!
CONS: Not helpful, they may do more harm than good
This restaurant is in the shopping center near the cleaners, and Subway on the corner of Old Denton and Hebron. You will miss it if you are not looking for it. The restaurant is small, and is decorated with white Christmas lights inside. You wouldn?t think it works, but it does. Food is served quickly. We usually go in parties of 4, and we never have to wait for a table, and we have never had a problem with our food. I?ve only tried their Enchilada?s and Chile Reno, and both have been excellent.
PROS: Good food
CONS: Could be difficult to find
This location is a bit smaller than the Josey Ranch Lake location, but it's got quite a bit. Their entire catalog is offered online, so you can look up which books you need before leaving this house. They also offer e-books which you can check out from their website. This library is closed on Friday's.
PROS: Well lit, location, online access
CONS: Smaller than their other library
This location has moved to 1700 Keller Springs Road
Carrollton, Texas 75006. They are closed on Thursdays. This library offers a large selection of media, and books. I have enjoyed their music section where you can find just about any kind of music. Also, the back part of the library is dedicated to nothing but genealogy. The front part of the library has a small coffee shop. They also have their entire collection online, and you can search this location, as well as the Hebron and Josey location. The librarians are very kind, and don?t mind helping (especially those in the genealogy section).
PROS: Clean, well lit, comfortable seats
