Ruthies
This place has good mexican food that's pretty traditional Tex-mex and can be a little heavy but you get alot for the $$. One of my favorite items here is the pancakes. They are fluffy and crisp around the edges... scrumptious and very inexpensive. You shouldn't have to pay $8 for a couple of pancakes.
PROS: very reasonable, family friendly, very casual
CONS: nothing fancy
J. Alexander's
Everything is good. Atmosphere is stylish and cozy. The shoe string french fries are oh-so-good!! Great place for a date or girls night out. The salmon is delicious but don't pass up the fries!
Parma Ii Rick J Dds
Dr. Parma's cosmetic dentistry abilities are amazing! If you're looking for a new smile this is the place to go. He is also an excellent overall dentist. The staff is wonderful and Dr. Parma has the best personality!
Woodhouse Spa - San Antonio - Quarry
I had a wonderful experience at this spa. The moment you walk in you know it's going to be a special day. The dark hardwood floors, soft lighting and warm painted walls all speak to you, "Relax, take a deep breath and enjoy". The employees intentionally speak softly and quietly to maintain a relaxing environment. I went the day before my wedding and had the "works": Magnolia Body Wrap (Unbelievable, it was like being in a tropical rainforest), Pedicure that included a foot/leg massage with hot rocks, massaging chair and a mimosa to boot! A soothing manicure, an express massage and a bikini wax. They planned the bikini wax first not to interfere with the rest of the days pampering. I could go on and on, like the fresh robe and soft shoes, the private lockers and wonderful shower available after the days treatments. They even provided a blowdryer. I can't say enough about this spa... you'll have to try it out for yourself!
Isabelle's European Day Spa
This spa is too fast paced and full of energy to provide the "day at the spa" feeling we all long for with our crazy schedules. I had a bikini wax and lip wax that were just fine but I knew when I walked in that it was not a place I would go for pedicures or massages. The decor is not calming and the high energy atmosphere does not lend itself to the "spa experience". If you're looking for a quick in-and-out it might work for you. As for me when I want to feel pampered and special I'll be going back to The Woodhouse Day Spa (where i went the day before I got married)
PROS: Quick, price is average, run specials
CONS: too cluttered and fast paced
