This new location is fantastic for small maintanace work. Staff is friendly and willing to squeeze you in to their schedule. The only drawback is that they do not have later evening or Saturday appointments.
After attending a large public university for undergrad, I appreciated the small, family-like environment of USF's School of Education. They focus on leadership and diversity, and truly want their students to succeed. One of the best MAT programs in the state!
Tahoe House is on the road to Homewood and Sunnyside from Tahoe City. It is a small bakery and gourmet specialty shop with some of the best goods around! Their pre-made foods make hosting parties a snap, and their deli sandwiches and salads are worth the extra five minute drive! One of the best places on the Lake!
Alpine Meadows is a relaxed but challenging mountain for skiiers and snowboarders alike. Their prices are low and their guest limit on the mountain is a fantastic idea. The only drawback is the parking lot-- if you are not there early enough, it is often a headache.
Cal Mart is a pricey market in Laurel Village, but they have an amazing butcher and bakery. Although small, it has a little bit of everything, including friendly staff. The best secret is though that Saturday afternoons around 4pm, their amazing bouquets of flowers go on sale for half off! It's worth the trip right there!
San Francisco is chalk full of yoga studios and great places to get massages but the Mindful Body is different. Their yoga studio does not focus on the see-and-be-seen mentality of most in SF. Their drop in rates are absolutely reasonable and their yogis are among the best around. They also have the most affordable and best massages around. Their therapists love what they do and the quality of massage can't be beat. I will never go anywhere else for massages! The best around.
I have been coming here for 4 years at this point. They do an amazing job with eyebrow waxing, and then afterward, touch you up with their great products! Only downside is that it gets really crowded. There is a little bit of sales pressure to try their cosmetics and make new purchases. But it is a little bit of pampering after a little bit of grooming! Who's complaining?
There are several Ambiance boutiques in San Francisco, however, the Noe Valley one is my favorite! Ambiance specializes in cute shoes and clothes that are designer quality but at very reasonable prices. Ambiance is a solid stop when out and about in the city!
Rabat has been on my favorite boutiques list for years! They sell clothing, shoes and jewelry from various designers. One of my favorite things they sell is Kris Nations jewelry. They also have amazing sales. Their regular priced merchandise often breaks the bank, but it is well worth it!
No trip to the North Shore would be complete without a stop at Ikeda's for either some grub or their amazing fruit pies! Stop here (across the highway from the In N Out) for farm fresh produce and snacks, as well as baked goods! They have homemade everything, from cupcakes to tamales! The only drawback is sometimes it gets crowded over big weekends. However, due to the opening of the In N Out, less people stop by, making it a great pit stop and treat destination!
