Legends Deli & Catering
We catered food from here for our meeting for two days. The sandwiches were innovative but not too radical and the quality was excellent. The next day they delivered hot food by mistake and the meeting took second place to the food. All of my coworkers who've lived in the area for most of their lives swear by it and it measures up to the hype.
PROS: Great fresh sandwiches and deli food
CONS: No cons
Recreation Salon
The place is small, intimate and relaxed. I pleaded for an appointment and had to wait quite a while but walked away feeling like my old self again. The stylist is patient, the proprietor is friendly. My husband is picky about his hair and has decided to settle with them. They're not cheap and charge extra for a blow dry, but we're willing to pay the price for a good haircut that makes you feel like a million dollars.
PROS: Patient, Attentive and Talented stylist
CONS: A little expensive
Shop Rite Pharmacy
We had not done comparison shopping at other supermarkets so can't comment on prices relative to other places. Having said that, the prices are a bit higher than I would like, but when I'm not in the mood for going to the fresh market and would rather get everything from one place, I come to this Shoprite; it has virtually everything to address your culinary needs. There is a good range in products and the staff is helpful and the store is always full of customers.
PROS: Well stocked, huge selection
CONS: Not the best bargain in town
Subzi Mandi Central
We've recently moved from Queens, NY and will be going to Edison or Iselin for our Indian Groceries. The store is big, the aisles are big and somewhat sparse. The staff is helpful and you can get your basic Indian fixes here. The store seems to be in transition. It has an okay fresh produce section and the frozen section is adequate. It's adequate and reasonable pricewise
PROS: Conveniently on Rt. 130
CONS: Sparsely stocked
