Dr. Salmon is a great guy. He is never overbooked and takes his time with every patient. He has been a podiatrist for about twenty years and is board certified on podiatric surgery. This bethpage office is open only on Monday, Friday and Saturday. He has another office in Inwood open Tues.and Thurs.
This is a good place. Quality, competent care. They helped me through two rehabs after surgeries, and helped my wife after a bad car accident. I think "Jim" is the actual physical therapist/part owner. The workers may be therapists or students, but they are all good and Jim is there everyday. Also partly owned by those surgeons down the road at Nassau Orthopedic.
I think the father owns this place, and the son runs it. I think the son's name is "Dave".They are good people with reasonable prices on tires and oil changes. About the cheapest place around for tires and oil changes.
Not a pleasant man. I actually heard the secretary call him once to take a call from an insurance company. He was asking for authorization for something. he asked the secretary who this patient was. She told him Mrs. so and so who has diabetes, MS and like two other things. He then spoke to the insurance company and told them that they should authorize whatever it was he wanted then said "This woman is going to die anyway" All of this took place in front of me! he was yelling back and forth to Dottie, the secretary who was in the other room. Another time he complained that I hadn't been in to see him in almost a year and that I wasn't taking my prescriptions so maybe he shouldn't treat me. I told him I just called Dottie and she refilled the Rx over the phone for me. He started screaming at the poor woman and asking her in front of me if this was true. The poor woman had to deny it to him. She, Dottie the secretary, is the ONLY good thing about this practice. Garelick seemed like a jerk to me. I switched doctors after that.
PROS: only the secretary
CONS: poor professional demeanor
I like him. He's competent but he doesn't nag you too much about your bad habits. They wait time is usually very short. He's a personable guy who is very thorough. No complaints here. he's now on Hicksville Rd in Seaford, same phone number.
PROS: personable, competent
Both my kids see him. he even puts up with their rudeness. When my younger son became seriously ill, Dr. Grillo made all the right referrals in a timely manner. This could have been, literally, a lifesaver. He has earned our trust.
PROS: he cares
CONS: busy, seeing new patients?
Dr Campo does his job and doesn't hound you too much with phone calls about "maintenance". Will see you on short notice. Cheerful office help. Magazines fairly up to date : )
PROS: nice guy, doesn't hound you to keep coming back
This place is a big rip off. They constantly look to pad the bill with questionable repairs. I'm not saying they don't do the repairs, I'm saying it is very questionable as to whether the repairs are even needed. I went here a few times. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Don't take my word for it-ask around. Then look at the amount of business Firestones does diagonally across the street. Firestone is great, very fair, no cheap-but who is. The main thing is the managers at Firestone are HONEST.
PROS: a lot of bays, quick turn around
CONS: questionable "problems" and repairs
