Mario's South Side Saloon

Marios Saloon is a bar/restaurant located in the South Side of Pittsburgh. They have pretty reasonable prices on their food, and usually always feature alcohol "special prices". Not only is this a good place to have lunch with your friends, but it is also a popular place to go to enhance your night life. They have two different rooms. The one side is "the hang out room", while the side is where you can listen to your friend kareoke. Both rooms feature their own bars which cuts down on waiting times. This is an all time favorite of mine because it usually draws in large crowds.

CONS: It can sometimes become overly-crowded

Shootz Cafe & Billiards

Shootz Cafe is a great place to go with friends to have a great meal and add entertainment for fun. There is a wide arrangement of tables for dining and plenty of pool tables for fun. The meals not only consist of your normal "bar" appetizers, but they also provide entrees such as steak or chicken. The atmosphere is very friendly and inviting. On another note, the staff, especially the bartenders take the time to get to know their customers. This is not only a bar setting style restaurant, but a place where families can enjoy themselves, as well.

Primanti Brothers

I absolutely love Primanti brothers becaue of their unique style of serving food and also their quick service. This Pittsburgh "made" restaurant has it's own tradition of serving coleslaw and fries on their sandwiches. Not only can you get their famous steak sandwich, but you can also choose from a variety of other unique combinations. Most of the time this restaurant is packed with a line outside of the door. The great thing about the staff is that they can whip you out a sandwich within 5 minutes of your visit...despite the long lines. The prices of their items are pretty reasonable considering the enormity of the sandwiches.
