A trip to to this shoe repair shop will cost you big time. Unfortunately, it??s the story of a once-sterling business gone bad. The original owner, a lovely elderly Swiss gentlemen, offered superb craftsmanship and good service. His rates were incredibly reasonable. Now there is neither honesty, nor goodwill, and civility is in short supply. Once the shop??s threshold is crossed, you willl be subject to nasty treatment.
Often the shoe can??t be found using the ticket they issued. But even if the shoe is found, it??s most likely been untouched since you dropped it off. They said I had to bring the shoe??s mate (wish they??d told me before I drove their from Carp). I tried 3X to pickup my shoe and when I drove for the fourth time the woman who tended the counter was gone and not answering her cell phone.
They even changed the price on one elderly customer who asked ??Has the price of glue gone up??
Both the shoemaker and counter woman are rude: they hung up on customers who had called asking for directions, and yelled at others who simply wanted their shoes back. These are not nice people.
I??d made an appt. with Dr. Novatt, a Santa Barbara dermatologist, for Juvederm filler injections. After a 55min. wait I was asked to leave and return another day as the doctor suddenly needed to see another patient. It??s hard to imagine a sudden dermatological emergency pre-empting an appointment for which I??d already waited an hour, but I was cordial and re-scheduled.
When I returned the following week and asked Dr. Novatt to fill in areas under my eyes, he recommended Juvederm. Unfortunately, his aim was off and the areas were asymmetrical (my eye area is symmetrical). He also left me with a raised diagonal line below the intra-orbital area on 1 side.
I hoped it might improve over time but it didn??t so I made a third appt at which I pointed out the filler??s diagonal seam and the nurse agreed it was plainly visible. She was dismayed and asked if I??d massaged the area to even it out following the injection (that had never been recommended to me).
When Dr. Novatt finally appeared after yet another lengthy wait, he too observed the error but refused to rectify it unless I was willing to pay for additional Juvederm. His explanation: Juvederm is an expensive material. I simply Ieft his office but find his lack of patient consideration inexcusible.
