I really liked writing reviews on places I had traveled and they gave you the option of cashing in points for writing reviews.
Apparently, I made them mad somehow with my reviews because they informed me that the points I redeemed were cancelled.
I worked hard on my reviews and uploaded lots of nice pictures like they asked. In addition, the editors rated my reviews nicely.
Thus, write reviews for them and they'll keep them to bolster their site, but then you won't get to redeem your points.
PROS: Somehow anger them and they will bite you
Over the past several years I've switched eye doctors several times.
I've stayed with this center because I am pleased with the thoroughness of the eye exams and the service.
They check you for glaucoma and other eye diseases and the doctor explains ways that I can better care for my eyes.
They do have to special order the contacts, but they come pretty fast.
PROS: Great doctors
CONS: Might have to schedule a few weeks in advance if it's not urgent
If you want to see some old pioneer homes and antiques, and learn some history, this is a good place to learn.
They offer activities and tours of various restored homes and explain how people lived in the 1800's.
There is a charge to visit and if it's not something you want to pay for, just go visit a free historical site.
PROS: Interesting tours and activities
CONS: It's not free
I love the view of Utah Lake that you get as you golf here, however to course seems to be a bit isolated from everything.
There are no gas stations or stores in the near vicinity, and were you to break down you would be in for a long walk or an expensive tow fee.
There isn't a huge crowd at the course so you won't have to rush, so that is nice. The course is also well cared for and good.
PROS: Not as expensive as some courses, not as crowded as some courses
CONS: Isolated, long drive to get there
The Reparte Gallery is owned by a local, but nationally well know artist.
It is the best place to purchse paintings by Liz Swindle and some upcoming artists. There are paintings and sculptures are the gallery.
The Gallery is tastefully decorated and I could spend hours looking through all the artwork.
PROS: Tastefully decorated
CONS: Expensive paintings
This is a wonderful golf course. It goes through the hills of Draper. A golf cart is a must because this is a long course and would take a very long time if you walked.
The course is challenging and some of the holes are hard, but there are a few holes that are easier to make up for it.
There is a wonderful view of the entire valley while you golf.
PROS: Excellent view, nice golf carts
CONS: To spread out to walk, long
Mulligans has a driving range, nine holes of golf, mini golf, and batting cages. The activites are a lot of fun.
Mulligans isn't very expensive compared to other golf courses and their mini golf course keeps you guessing without requiring you to be a pro golfer.
I enjoy going here.
PROS: Fun, nice course
CONS: Busy road makes it hard to access, limited parking
This bookstore competes with Deseret Book. They offer most of their books at about 10% off of list price.
The books are mostly targeting an LDS audience. They also sell DVD's, CD's, art, and other specialty items for teaching Sunday School and other classes.
The store is nice and well stocked and the employees are friendly and helpful, but not pushy.
PROS: Nice selection, helpful employees
CONS: Limited Non-LDS selection
If you are sick of your clothes and they are still in nice condition, you can take them to Plato's Closet. They will buy them from you and give you store credit to get different clothes, or you can get money for them.
They are a nice secondhand store because they won't take just anything.
It's also a good way to trade in your clothes for something different.
PROS: Cheap way to get new clothes
CONS: You aren't going to get what you originally paid
This is a nice aquarium store that is owner operated. The employees are always willing to answer your questions.
They have a nice selection of fish and some really pretty corals.
However, they are a little bit more expensive than other aquarium stores and there is no livestock guarantee. They also don't sell frags.
PROS: Nice location, nice selection
CONS: No frags, expensive, no livestock guarantee
