Towson Day Spa
Towson Day Spa is located on Chesapeake Ave in the heart of Towson near Sunny Surplus and Wachovia Bank. This day spa does it all: hair, nails, waxing etc. They have great staff members who do everything to your liking, but they do run a bit pricey. Average eyebrows are probably upwards of $15 and a haircut is probably upwards of $50.
Ten Car Pile Up
Nice little shop that has a lot of vintage clothes. They carry a good amount of older band tshirts. The only problem is that equate vintage to antique so it tends to be very pricey. Also doubles as a venue where local bands play sometimes. The venue is actually above ten car pile up in the old oddfellows lounge, normally caters to the punk, ska, hardcore persuasion.
Sonar
Sonar is a great club. They have electic choices almost every night. Everything from local bands to national touring groups that are in the genres of rock, hip hop and punk. This club has something for everyone. The people in here are great and the bar is relatively easy to get a drink at. The club is semi small but it has several different rooms you can enter depending on what you are in the mood for.
Fletcher's
Fletcher's is a small bar located on the second floor of a small row house conversion in Fells Point. This venue is great for catching some more obscure acts, but every once in awhile they catch a bigger name as well. I have seen the Pietasters here a few times and a lot of other good Reggae bands as well. It's a great intimate space so that you can get up close to your favorite bands, the only downfall is that tickets tend to sell out quickly. The whole bar has been renovated recently which adds to the appeal
Brass Monkey Saloon
The brass monkey is a small dingy bar on your way to Fells Point on Eastern Avenue. They have decent priced beer and host bands but the owner is a jerk. My band played here once and the owner didn't want to let people in and accused many of having fake IDs (who actually had authentic IDs). He took a large part of the cut and would make up reasons as to why his part became larger and why the band's became smaller. Be careful in dealing with him. I hear its a very hot/cold establishment to deal with in general. The space inside is small but once in awhile you can catch a good band
Roland Park Elementary School
I went to elementary school here for grades K-3 then my parents moved me into Baltimore County following the shooting of a guidance counselor. I actually really liked this school although I didn't spend too much time there. The teachers were good and the after school program was good. I still have contact with a lot of the kids that I went to school with here, its just unfortunate that I had to leave.
Museums Baltimore Museum of Art
The BMA is great, currently its running Picasso's original sketches as an exhibit. They have everything from classic to modern art. I especially enjoy the modern art exhibit that has pieces from Warhol, Pollack, and Lichenstein. Its free every first thursday of the month and in the city paper you can normally find what things are going on there. They often have speakers, poets etc to spice it up a bit.
T J's High-Tech Auto Body
My 2005 Saab 9-3 was hit once while parked in my employee garage then the next week was hit again. TJ's was great and combined both collisions into one shop time. The administrative staff is great and they work with your insurance so that all you have to do is only pay the deductible. They do a great job and back it up with a lifetime warranty for as long as you have the car.
Reptilian Records & Comics
Great place to find incredibly hard to find and rare older punk cds. They also have a good dvd selection for bands as well. There are constantly people in here talking about live shows and what is going on around town. Good support for the local music scene as well. I believe the store has moved but I'm not sure of it's new location
Sticky Fingers
Good place but highly overpriced. They tend to use their location to their advantage to kind of rip people off. From what I understand they are going out of business or at least are leaving the fells point area. They do have a good selection of rare and hard to find band tshirts
