Shopper's Parking
This is the perfect location parking garage for when you go to the shopping district of SF. I've gone there when ive been on my way to Yerba Buena gardens or moscone center or the metreon. THis is a great central location, and it has the normal run of the fare of parking costs. Good stuff!
Van Ness Bakery & Cafe
I went in there to get a cake for a friend for a small party once and it was a rush, so we ended up putting a little pressure on them. Nonetheless they came though and did great. Their customer service was excellent and the cake was just as good! I'm definitely going back next time when I need to bring a cake for an event.
Hopkins Street Bakery
You have to look a little bit to find this place. It isn't on all of the major thouroughfares in Berkeley and its totally worth going there to find it! My gf and I try to run by here when we're headed to SF or going around the area. The aroma and pasties are great and its worth a try if youre in the area.
Sheng-Kee Bakery
Everytime I'm shopping at 99 ranch market I can't help but reward myself with one or two buns for all my efforts going grocery shopping! They aren't usually too sugary and they have quite a selection of a lot of different pastries. Its a good deal too for pastries, its a much as you would expect from a decent chinese pastry store.
Lafayette Car Wash
These guys are extremely friend and helpful for what I needed done to my car, the detailling job was great too. The prices are decent and what you would expect for a Lafayette nice east bay town, not cheap but decent. Overall great job, nice waiting area for the car and I was happy.
Solar Car Wash
Here's a place where you gotta do it yourself but its all good. It's what you expect to pay in a place like berkeley where the prices are a little high but in the end things are all good. For a hand dry you expect to pay like $20+ but this is the basics and exactly what most of us need over half of the time.
Solar Car Wash
My parents went there with me when we they were up here and their car looked awesome after it was done. They were extremely friendly and helped us with everythign that we needed. While waiting they took care of us, and it was a pleasant experience. THe car looked spotless and wonderful afterwards!
Berkeley Touchless Car Wash
This is a place you want to go if you have a nice car. My friend's BMW regularly goes to this place, but youre looking at paying $16-18 for a regular car wash with hand dry, thats too much for me. In the suburbs I'm used to paying $10 + tip, but hey if you have a nice car, its worth it, they do a good job.
Bongo Burger
They make a good burger, especially their Lamb burger. This is a place that offers a selection of burgers and fast food near the UCB campus. I can't say that this place is a steal though, it is pricey for a burger. For burger, fries and a drink you're going to pay about $7+ so its a little pricey, but when you got the urge for a burger, it don't matter!
King Dong Restaurant
The food is alright, and their lunch specials are ok. I can't say I really enjoyed it, but it was ok food. I personally would rather drive 15 minutes to downtown Oakland for cheap great Chinese food and support the local Chinatown community there. FYI My friend yacked after eating their food, but hes not the most cultured White boy, so I wouldn't let his experience shun you away.
