G & W Roofing
After the active hurricane season last year, our home was in a shambles. We lost over 75% of the shingles on our roof, and had numerous leaks. We contacted G & W Roofing, and they sent their service manager over very promptly. It was determined that we would need to replace the roof. G&W Roofing worked with us on a payment plan, and made us aware of all of our options and warranties. We were very pleased, the roof looks great, and have referred several neighbors to G&W also.
C & B Electric
My husband and I have several rental properties in the Orlando area, and started having problems with one of them about 3 months ago. We had just purchased a townhome in Winter Garden, and were in the process of getting insurance on the property. We soon found out that the property needed extensive electrical repairs. All of the wiring was old aluminum wiring (25 years old) that had corroded almost completely. All of the homes electrical would have to be re-wired. We called C&B Electric and explained the dilemma. Within 2 days, the tech came to our house and wrote up the estimate. We called around, and no one could give us a better price. The work was done and weve not had any trouble since then. Very happy!
Term Personnel
When I first moved to Orlando, I contacted Term Personnel about a temporary position in the Accounting field. I made it very, very clear what I wanted, where I wanted to work, and how much money I wanted. I also made it clear that I wasnt in a hurry, that I would wait until the right job came along. But the staff kept calling me about job interviews for jobs twice as far as I wanted to drive, and for half as much money! After explaining to them several times my needs, I finally told them to stop calling me. I get the feeling that the staff dont really care what you want.
Remedy Intelligent Staffing
I got my first job in Orlando through Remedy Intelligent Staffing. I faxed them my resume, and had a position the next day! The position was supposed to be part-time, temporary/seasonal, but here I am, 5 years later-still there, as a full-time permanent employee. Im doing what I love, where I love, and have flexible hours and great benefits. I wouldnt have found this gem of a company if I hadnt first found Remedy. Great company!
Frank Russell Investment Management Company
I visited Frank Russell Investment Management Company when I quit my longtime job. I had a substantial amount of money in my old companys 401k program, and needed to rollover into an IRA. I needed good advice on an aggressive growth plan, and got it here. Commissions arent ridiculous, and you get very personal advice and treatment. Very happy.
Metro Men Spa
My husband says that women shouldnt be cutting mens hair. It makes sense, as I have the same philosophy about male gynecologists. Anywaywhen we moved to Orlando, he set about finding a mens hairstylist, in other words-a barber. It was hard for him to replace his ex-barber (the man was blind). but he really loves Metro Man. Hes just worried that his friends will find out he gets his hair cut at a spa! Very nice, full-service salon! A+
Action Kuts
My 10 year old son is very, very particular about his hair. Short of having a Mohawk, his dream hair is a surfer cut. (Shortish in the back, long bangs). We always have trouble with this. Either the stylist cuts the bangs too short, or not enough and it looks like he didnt get a haircut, or the back gets cut too short, etc. In the quest for the perfect surfer cut, we stumbled upon Action Kuts. Yes, they are busy, and yes, you will have to wait, but its worth it. My advice-go early in the morning. A+
Pitts Neal P
This is the probate attorney we hired when my husbands father passed away early last year. We had no idea what we were in for, his will was very complicated, and left a lot of loose ends to tie up! Neal was very patient with us, he was there every step of the way. I dont think my husband could have survived this without him! Neal turned a sad, stressful time into a manageable one. Thanks
Middleton Pest Control Inc
This is my pest control company. I love the once-a-year service, since I am often out of town, and cant be there when Terminix would schedule service. (I didnt trust them alone at my house!) The cost does seem expensive at first-but, remember, this is only going to happen once a year-and they guarantee it! If they do have to come back, there will be no charge. I havent had to call them back yet either, they do what they say the first time! My kind of place!
Festival Tours Inc
I live in Orlando, so the last thing I need is a sightseeing tour of the area! However, we recently had a family reunion that was held here (not my idea!), and I thought a tour for the rest of the family would be great. Most of my family hasnt been to Orlando before, so I thought it would be a nice way to introduce them to the city. I left 8 messages for this company to get package prices, etc., and never got a call back. We booked with another company, but I was very upset about being ignored. I finally got a call back, 2 weeks after the reunion. Too late!
