Naturalist
If you love animals or the outdoors even the tiniest bit, this place is an amazing place to visit. The shop just feels like you are in a jungle somewhere with all the varieties of items they offer. I would consider it a great place for children who love animals and have an imagination, you could leave them here for days if you really wanted to and they would be entertained.

Rumor has it this place was the only place to buy underwear, but if you don't like looking a bit weird sometimes, then you would have stayed naked back then. Their stuff is funny to me, but could seem incredibly weird to some. I find it original and their selection amuses me everytime I go into their store. Friendly service as well, great place.

Normally news is not my form of enjoyment, but this place just happens to be weird enough for me to enjoy it. Prices might seem a bit expensive, but their selection makes up for it. They have many forms of newspapers and magazines from around the world and also a wide array of candy that reminds me of world market even. Great place for those who like news.
Davis Athc Clb Investors Group
I was thinking about joining for the summer while the ARC is shutdown to students without a fee, but I changed my mind. Their racquetball courts suck and they really don't have that great of equipment anywhere. Too much money to spend on this place, it is very high in the fee range in my opinion and I went with the ARC after all.
Sierra Sod & Supply Inc
This is the only place is town I will shop for my business needs when it comes to landscaping. Their prices when you buy in the bulk are unbeatable when compared to other shops in town and surrounding areas. Very friendly service in my opinion as well, they were incredibly helpful and fast to fill my order. Great place to do business with.
Hibbert Lumber Co
Ace has nothing on this lumber store when it comes to wood. The staff might be lazy at times, but that is only because it is crazy hot outside in the summer. They also carry a ton of mortar and cement for all your project needs to do in the yard. It's the only place to buy great quality lumber in my opinion and the prices are very reasonable when compared to Ace.
Davis Small Animal Hospital
I took my new dog I adopted here to get his business fixed, if you catch my drift. They wanted twice as much as other places I found out of town, I ended up taking him to a place in Auburn and being much more satisfied with their services. People were nice and all, just way too pricey for college students to even consider for their pets. Don't go here if you are cheap.
Davis Paintball Center
Sure it might be the only paintball place in Davis, but that's not why it earns a 5 star rating. This place sells tickets in bulk for very cheap and makes for a great huge guyfest with everything costing about 20$ for a large group with no equipment to start the day. Highly contagious is the fun to be had here and you will have to go back again and again to play. Staff here rules.
Soccer & Lifestyle
This football store, soccer to Americans, is amazing because it captures the excitement the sport holds and gives it a Euro feel to it. Plenty of top of the line footwear and equipment to choose from and the people working here are friendly and love the sport. I definitely recommend this place to all soccer enthusiasts; if you want to be cheap go to big 5 and don't complain.
Fleet Feet Sports
Great service comes with a price, but you want to be sure that the shoes you buy are perfect for you. The staff might make commission off sales, but they truly are running enthusiasts and will help you find the best fit for your feet. They also have some decent other accessories for running and the like which is reasonably priced. Altogether, a nice place.
