Isn't the whole point of a good doctor to have the PATIENTS best care be his PRIMARY concern! Love my animal first, then love me! My dog has extensive arthritis, which is costly, yet if you take the time to COMPARE, they are more than competitive. I saw Dr. Collett before he retired and he was wonderful, no doubt his gentle manner is what people miss, however what I truly want is my dogs health. The newer Dr. is slightly more abrupt, and perhaps too honest for some people, but he LOVES my pets!!! Bends down to talk to her, uses a soothing tone and gentle hand, and fights for her treatment. He makes sure I understand how important her meds and rechecks are, I would rather that than a vet who shrugs and says "bring her in for her pain shot when you can." I bring her to a vet for HER care, not my desire to be pampered. If I have to wait a little in order to best treat my animals, then that's what I do!
