Chef John Karayeoryos has had 40 years of experience the culinary arts while traveling the world with both the Merchant Marines and the Greek Navy. during his travels he fell in love with the city of New Orleans where he continued his passion for the art of cooking. After leaving the crescent city he relocated here to Lake Jackson, after 12 years in the city chose to share his vast knowledge of the worlds finest delicacies.Unable to chose between his Greek heritage and his flair for the creole taste he and his wife (lucky for us)opened The Cajun Greek. That was over two years ago and john and his beautiful family know almost every customer by name.He remembered me on my second visit I was so impressed.Every time I go I (being from louisiana my self)Want crawfish. But John loves to show off his masterpeices like tonight when Chelsea and I went in for his beef and lamb gyro(better then any thing I ever had back in NYC)But John and his son Chris made us a cornicopia of little treats.Poor Stephanie our waitress must have been dreading bussing our table but she never let on she was swet as pie(or should I say Baklava which I got to go.)We stared off with the authentic Greek salad called Sallata Santirini in it was tomato wedges, cucumbr, bell pepper, onions, topped with feat cheese, Kalamata olives, extra vinrgin olive oil. Sprinkled with Greek oregano. After that we were full and thought that our meal was over we were wrong they then brought out Moussaka(wich I've never herd of before)it was Layered with potatoes, eggplant, seasoned ground beef, and bechamel sauce. We were so full Johny insisted that we take some home for the kids .So if you want to play stump the greek Chelse's fav game and you speek a foreign lang. go in and chalange the word master or if you have an important meeting coming up and want to learn a few key phrases to blow the clients away John will pull up a chair and talk the night away(as long as hes done in the kitchen)Wanna get the best seat in the house John will allways accept a gift of fine wine.Im kidding....or am I
I walked in at closing tired cranky and starving.Sympathetic to my frustrations(every thing closes at 9 around here)Amber Bernal agreed to let us come in while she was closing up.The cashier Lynda was cool as long as we paid cash so she could close the drawer.Waiter Mike Pina finished his tables and he and Amber came and joined us.We talked and laughed well past our allotted time frame.Even the cooks were cool. This place went above service I have some friends coming in from NYC and I can't wait to show them the difference between big city prices and down home southern hospitality
PROS: located on 288 serves sake

Shila Strother allways greats me at the front door with a smile and knows me by name.Domela Fulsom is qiuck and allways gives me coupons on my photo developing.I would sugest if you are in a hurry you not go to there pharmacy.
I was having chest pains didnt know it was asthma. The staff took time to help me understand the disorder and taught me how to prevent and treat it.Plus I had to bring my kids they had a whole play room and kept a close eye on them whlie I was in whith the doc.
I dont like country music so I want in the best mood when my friends draged me out to this what seemed to be a hole in the wall but I was surprised.Ihad a hard time getting a drink at the bar and was ready to leave but a tint little waitress names Mistie taped me on the shoulder and said she'd help me ut.Mistie took care of our group all night (and they were a loud obnoxious crowd) she never lost her smile or messed ou a drink order. At the end of the night she perfectly tallied every last ticket to the cent. Most people would have been upset at that many separate checks. She never missed a beat. The only reason I didnt give this place a perfect score was I felt the door person just didnt want to be there and when the 1st person you see when you walk in a place makes you feel uncomfortable that I felt just wasnt up to par.But hey maby she was just having a bad day who knows. The mgmt Annette Goodrum is on hand if you love it or hate it let her know. But ither way stop in on a bad day just to let mistie put a smile on your face.Tell Mistie Hillary sent you in and I said to treat 'cha right.
Owner operator Mike Karr trys to be on hand at all times. He loves to meet and greet his customers he will treat you as if you have walked into his home for super. The food is past on from secret recipe's even I cant get outta the cook's.I always get the Seafood platter but my husband swears by the fried chicken mmmmm it goes perfect with homemade biskets and honey.Stop on in and tell Mike Hillary sent you and he just might let you sample a few of his Cajun perfections. While your there check out the local art work and 3 generations of hunting trophys on the walls.

Dr Creel allways made me feel stupid.I would wait sometimes 3 or more hrs to see him.He never answered my questions. He tried to rush me threw every visit then had the nerve to tell me he was going to induce me because my due date fell on his vacation time.I left and found Dr Yeager and couldnt be happier.
PROS: he has experience

Dr Corwin loves every kid he treats and they adore him.My eldest son is 9 and will pout if its the babys turn to get a shot.He never rushes you.His wife works with him and loves kids just as much as he does.My husband and I were stressed to the point of breaking because our baby had collic and we needed sleep.Dr Corwin is you every thing doctor he is our therapist our kids doc both my husband and I go to him with every thing. He will help you find the cure to whats wrong not throw pills at you.He reminds me of the kinda doc Norman Rocwell used to paint.I could see him in another time making house calls in the snow.He dosent take any B.S. he calls it like he sees it and if you listen to him and follow his advice he will become like a wellcome addition to the family.I dont know what we would do with out him I was so used to taking pills for everything that his homespun advice seemed like horsepuckey at first now I think he saved my life.
