From the first day I sat foot nine years ago as a visitor from out of town, to the day I moved here two years ago, each visit was warm and welcoming. Now that I am a member, that has not changed. The liturgy is as rich and meaningful as you can get. With their Welsh priest who gives the homilies that has an accent that makes you feel as if you are in a Gothic church in England to their choir who often times takes a major classical choral piece and break it up for the liturgy. No praise bands here. This is true Anglo-Catholic liturgy and enough incense to set off smoke detectors in most parishes. Lent and Advent are especially moving and Holy Week with nightly services and the most traditional of the Triddum Masses leading up to Easter Sunday.
I cannot believe the body shop and service department are at the same place but are so opposite. I have had absolutely no problems from the first day I took my car for servicing with Henderson NV frames on my car. They treated me like I had purchased from them. It is wonderful. Then....I had an accident and they kept giving me wrong days that my car would be ready. When I went to pick up my car (finally...but hey I would rather it be done right), the windshield wipers (front to back and washer) were wired incorrectly, but did not notice that until late. I was at the cashier in the body shop and she turned to my stress my service adviser and asked if I owed anything and he said I did not. Great, I got my car repaired and the insurance must have covered all of it. Well, three months later they are calling me who has a paid in full receipt and they are wanting me to pay $500, my deductible even though they said no charge. They had the nerve to tell me that if it is not paid by the end of the week they were going to haul me to court to retrieve the money. With my paid receipt I nearly did go along with that, but if the court asked where my proof of payment was to back up the receipt, I would lose. Well, I gave in for their mistake and paid them the money. The service drive is so different. They are genuine and won't push you for a service that you don't need. In fact I was told my next service I need new tires so at least that is not a surprise to me when I bring my car back. It is a 2004 so I guess it is due for tires. However, back to the body shop. This is why they get satisfactory because I want to give 1 star (unsatisfactory) but the service drive gets 5 star (world class) so I have to average out (5 + 1 star = 6 star divide by 2 is 3 star)
WOW! That is all I can say. Get past the ankle biters and rude kids and gamblers and you have a classy resturant in a not so classy casino. The decor and aroma is wonderful. Open air kitchen in the center so you can see, hear, and smell the cooking. Dinner for two: Appletini, Classic Martini, Sauted Mushrooms, Halibut and Porterhouse came to $108 with tip. This place is not afraid of portions. The dinners came with vegetables (aspargus this night) and a choice of Black Bean Soup or Garden Salad and Baked potato, Garlic Mashed Potato or Rice Pilaf. They offered the desert cart but with these portions...who can last that long.
PROS: Portions, quality, service, value
CONS: Walking past rude patrons and rude children.
I have dined here twice and it happened both times. I am an Anglo-Saxon (white) and I noticed that if you are Hispanic, you get better service, the staff checks up on you, you get better seating. As an Anglo-Saxon I get to see my wait staff 3 times (order, delivery, payment) and that is it. I am also placed in a table against a wall next to the bar. There are better Mexican restaurants in town besides this one. Patronize them.
PROS: Delicious food
CONS: Poor discriminating service
When my current vet left Las Vegas I was at a loss. A friend of mine referred me to Dr. Anast and glad he did. Our long hair Chihuahua was in failing health and towards the end she was blacking out. She had an episode on a Saturday. I called the office to find them closed, however Dr. Anast answered from home. He said to meet him up at the office. He wanted me to leave her overnight and assured me he would take her home to care for her. Not many vets will do this. About a month later, she was called to doggy heaven and I called Dr. Anast to let him know. He offered to send someone to pick her up, but I said I will do it as I need it for closure. He knew as a gay male that this was my "child" my baby that I lost. It was devastating on myself and my partner to have to wrap her in a towel and bring her in. Dr. Anast told me to call when I leave the house and a staff member will meet me in the back. I did and I pulled up and Dr. Anast stepped away from his appointments long enough to accept our precious little Penny himself rather than a staff member. He worked with us on the cremation expenses and made it so much easier. I will highly rate Dr. Anast as long as he is in practice. He obviously loves animals and it shows.
PROS: Compassionate, careing, considerate
