I love that I can pop into Ace and get what I want. It has a great variety of items. The staff is very helpful. The location is very convenient which makes it all the better.

Asian Art Museum Of SF
This museum is amazing. They vastness of their collection is eye opening. So often in Asia the museums or the cultural sites lacked explanation and good displays of the cultural heritage. This museum really brings those items to light. This is a large museum so allow lots of time.

MUSÉE MÉCANIQUE
My kids and I loved this quirky little museum. All of the old games they have collected is amazing. It is like a walk back in time. You can still play many of these games, which makes it truly special

Filoli
The gardens at Filoli are lovely. I have brought many out of town gardeners here to enjoy these gardens. The house tour is nice, but not the highlight of the gardens. The cafe had really good quiche.

Hakone Estate & Gardens
Hakone gardens is gorgeous. I love taking my out of town guests here. They have a yearly tea pouring ceremony that is awesome. You can purchase tickets to various ceremonies. The kids love the fish pond.

San Francisco Museum Of Modern
I love spending time at the MOMA. Not only is the building really impressive, but the artists they display are wonderful. Check before you go on who the latest exhibit is. Their gift shop and cafe are worth a visit too.

Alcatraz tour
All of my out-of-town guests request a tour of Alcatraz. Be-sure to book ahead because they do sell out. I like the self guided ear phone tour. However, I was amazed that they do not offer Mandarin Chinese! They have many other foreign languages.

The Park Central San Francisco
Right when you walk into the Argent you are impressed with the cool art deco style. The rooms have floor to ceiling windows that really show off the skyline of SF. The argent is right down town - very close to the MOMA and convention center.

PW Market
PW market has a neighborhood grocery feel to it. The people their are very friendly. The produce is fresh. They have a very good meat dept. I love that I can run, get what I need and not have to wait in long lines.

Le Papillon
Le Papillon is a true fine dining experience. The menu is superb as is the wine. The staff is very well trained. We celebrated our anniversary there last time and it really made it special.
