Almaden Yoga
Anuja Chaudhri and Ron Victor have opened up Almaden Yoga in the PW shopping center on Via Valiente and Almaden Expressway. They have a special introductory package that costs $30 for 30 days. You can try as many different classes over a 30 day period. They offer beginner classes and intermediate. The atmosphere is welcoming and their goal is to share their love of yoga. Having never been to a yoga class coupled with the inability to touch my toes, I never thought I would find a yoga studio that would fit my needs. After attending a variety of classes including Hatha, Vinyassa Flow, Yin and Yoga Tone, I am hooked! If you are looking for a yoga studio close to home, Almaden Yoga is the answer.
Affordable Treasures
Affordable Treasures has a huge selection. If you need party items, this place will have what you need. I particularly like their selection of goody bag prizes.
Chase Bank
We switched our checking account from B of A to Washing Mutual after our refinance. I thought that I would miss the convenience of B of A, but I have been very happy with the service of Washing Mutual.
Sweet Pea's
Sweet Peas is conveniently located on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. If you like crepes, then this is the place for you. The food is fresh and made with quality ingredients. This restaurant is no secret to the local community, so expect long lines at lunch time. Don't even think about leaving without ordering the Nutella Banana Crepe. It will melt in your mouth.
Round Table Pizza
Tony and Albas recently catered for our Cabana Club Wednesday night dinner. I had pasta with red sauce and a meatball. The meatball was fair. The salad was good and the bread sticks were okay. It was a good, cheap meal.
Amici's East Coast Pizzeria
This is a wonderful place to go for lunch. The east coast, thin crust pizza is fantastic. The zesty honey mustard salad dressing, which they put on their house salad, is the perfect complement to your pizza.
Osteria Toscana
The calamari steak is heavenly. If you plan to go to this restaurant, do not make the mistake by ordering anything else. This restaurant is moderately priced and has a casual atmosphere. The tables are close together, so don't expect much privacy.
Vin Santo Ristorante
What a disappointment. This restaurant has an excellent location in Willow Glen. However, an overpriced, adequate lunch was not worth the price. The food was okay and the service was fine, but if I am going to pay $45 for lunch, I expect much better food than this.
Moore's Market's Inc
If you want to pay 25% more for your food, then go to Moore's Market. The selection is fair, but the prices are so expensive. If you are desperate, this is the place to go. If you are willing to drive 5 miles, then don't waste your time and go somewhere else.
Mandarin Gourmet-San Jose
Yuk! This place doesn't hold a candle to the original Mandarin Gourmet in Palo Alto. The restaurants have the same menu and the same price but the food is completely different. This is the greasiest Chinese food I have ever had.
