Harrys Glass Shop

They are friendly and very fast on turn around time. I had some mirror's placed in frames and they had it down. Good follow up and very approachable. I will definitely go back for more. It's nice to find a local, friendly glass shop.

Camerons Seafood Market & Restrnt

Been going here for years, they are hidden from the busy "old town" and worth the 5 minute drive. The seafood is awesome and totally fresh. Not crowded and better than any other in the area. The soups are hot and the best I have outside of Boston.

Poo Bah Record Shop

The store has a 30 year history in Pasadena. It was our family business and now they are alive and kicking in East Pasadena. Talk about "pedestrian friendly". Grab an amp from Guitar Center, go to the live "In Store" at the "bahs", have a drink and shoot some pool at the "Colorado bar" and have breakfast at "Denny's"; all within the same block on the 2600 block of east Colorado Blvd. The store has lots of magazine, DVDs, vinyl, tapes and personality. The walls still have all the funk memorabilia and the store sorta looks like the original location on Fair Oaks, before Parsons was built. Still shopping there, love it.

Pasadena Rehearsal Studios

This is a professional studio. They have a full room ready to plug in. P.A., mics, sound board, drum set, wow. I believe you can record there too. I can't think of a better studio in the area.

Crown City Hardware Company

I always go there first for hardware. I got my door bells, door handles, house numbers, cabinet handles, etc. They had almost everything I needed for an old house. Prices can be expensive so I have to slow down and not buy the store.

Source One Finance

Shawn is fantastic. He has done several loans for me and friends. I always call him first. He goes the extra mile and shows me all my options. I have learned a lot about lending from Source One Finance.

Historic Lighting Incorporated

We bought some frames to make mirrors and they were very helpful. Their furniture was priced right, although the lighting could get pricey. Wide selection of lighting so it met our needs.

Sotheby's International Realty

I am the realtor responding to the initial review of my business. Its disappointing to find a review like this, especially when I am known to go out of my way to solve the many problems and challenges in most real estate transactions, especially when the other realtor is not part of the solution. This deal was fine until the end, I was the seller and the reviewer was the buyer. The workers were still not done with the agreed list of repairs; so the buyers agent had us all agree to a hold funds agreement. This meant that the escrow company would hold monies from the seller until the agreed repairs were done, after close of escrow. This was a recipe for disaster and the other agent knew this would keep her out of trouble and I would be trapped with the buyer. At close, the agent left town on vacation and told me to deliver the keys and negotiate with the buyer the repairs. I thought this was unethical; as a seller, I should not be conversing with the buyers. The repairs got done, as promised, except for one item, which needed a second opinion. The buyer got very angry at my decision to use the same workers and not to use another installer. I asked the buyer to take the full credit held in escrow since we could not agree, he did not. The final item estimate was deducted from the credit and we all signed off. There were sour grapes and I dont blame the buyer for being upset over the whole process. Any other realtor would probably have kept their distance, but I hung in there to try and work it out.

Major learning experience and WARNING to those buying: Never agree to hold funds from the seller to do repairs after close of escrow. Buyers and Sellers are not going to like it! Just do a straight credit for a fixed price. That works every time and please keep the conversations between agents, make your agent call the other agent.

Hey, I grew up in Eagle Rock, remember "the "Bucket". Auntie Ems fits right in, personable, great omelets. I have been there several times and always enjoyed it. Prices are right on. We've come a long ways since Bob's Big Boy, which was on Colorado in Eagle Rock.

We had dinner here with my mom and she is an educated Vegan. The food and salad was very good. Fresh and tasty, I remember this place used to be "Stapp's" in the old days. great atmosphere, pleasant service. Definitely coming back.
