Omnitheatre

Saint Paul, MN Movie Theaters 09/07/06: 'Omnitheatre'

The Omnitheatre is located inside the Science Musuem in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The Omnitheatre is a theatre that wraps around you and above you, forming a circle of a screen. It starts out as a IMAX scren and converts into an omnitheatre. They show educational films, everything from wild prairies to underwater adventures. The action and movement of these movies are truly fascinating. This theatre is not for the faint of heart, however! If you get motion sickness, you may get sick from the movement on the screen. The nature of the screen's configuration makes you feel like you are moving, too!

PROS: Great experience, great movies

Minnesota Sculpture Garden

The Minnesota Sculpture Garden is a must see for Minneapolis tourists. It is located next to the Walker Art Center outdoors. The sculpture garden's most famous exhibit is the Cherry on a spoon, that many will see in ads for Minneapolis. It is huge and impressive when you see it in person. There are many other sculptures made by artists in the garden. The area is landscapted beautifully and the view of downtown Minneapolis from the Garden is outstanding! Nearby you will find many wonderful restaurants, theatres, and other area entertainment. Check out the sculptures and then head across the street to Loring Park.

Walker Art Center

Minneapolis, MN Art Centers 09/07/06: 'Walker Art Center'

The Walker Art Center is an excellent modern art museum. It is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Remodled just recently, the museum is now much bigger and includes a Wolf Gang Puck restaurant. While some of the exhibits may seem to be "too" modern for some, the museum gives a wide variety of what modern art entails. The Walker also offers classes, tours, films, and lectures.

University of North Dakota

I received a fine education at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND. I would definitely recommend this university. The school is about 13000 students, which is a nice amount; not too big or small. The campus is beautiful, with old buildings and a mix of new aerospace buildings. This is one of the few universities with a pilot and aerospace program. I attended the Theatre arts dept, receiving a degree in Stage Management and Technical Theatre. I also received an art minor from the visual arts program. I received top knotch instruction from my professors. The classes were small enough to get quality individual attention. I have many excellent memories from UND. The only downside is the cold weather in the winters!

They have fridges, dishwashers, microwaves, ranges, and washers and dryers. They have factory liquidation prices. Check Appliancesmart out for the best prices in town.

Ax-Man Surplus Store

Saint Paul, MN Salvage & Surplus Goods 09/07/06: 'Ax-Man Surplus Store'

Ax-Man Surplus Store has a little bit of everything. Do you need 7000 fishing lures? Need some odd plastic boxes? They've got them, along with decorating supplies, electrical parts, and so much more. I went in here to find some flash bulbs for a 1970's camera. They had them. They had a ton of them. I am an area props designer and this store has so many things I could use someday as a prop. It's a garage sale lover's dream of a store!
